Beyonce Goes Pixie!

Is there a look Beyonce can't pull off?!

Yes another day and another post about Beyonce...sorry about that!

My pop idol posted pics of herself on Instagram this morning sporting a stunning new hair do...Queen Bey has gone pixie.

Proving she doesn't need her trademark mane of golden locks to look fierce, this gamine new do makes Beyonce look chic and sophisticated, with a nod to old school Hollywood glamour.

Posting images of herself showing her new do from all angles, this new look has sparked comparisons with Rihanna's signature crop, but in this flattering honey blonde shade and worn slightly softer than RiRi, this is a look purely of her own.

Now, I'm planning on cropping my hair in the next month and I just want to put it out there that I was planning on doing it for ages and it's not just copying Bey...although she proves going short is fabulous.

What do you  think of Beyonce's new look? Are you a fan? Enjoy x

Rihanna Scores Her Second US Vogue Cover

I am having a major girl crush on Rihanna right now.

Whenever she goes for a short hair style, I always find her so much more gorgeous, and she always makes me want to chop my hair off too!

Well, it seems that US Vogue is feeling the love for this sexy songstress too, and have landed her her second cover.

Her first cover was back in April 2011, when she was sporting luscious red locks and a shimmering Chanel gown. Check it out below.

This time, Rhi Rhi is rocking a more demure look. A gorgeous cropped, pixie style and a beautiful red dress and matching red pout. Here it is:

This sweet cover was shot by renowned photographer Annie Leibovitz and scores an A+ with me!

Rihanna for River Island

I love a good celebrity/high street collaboration - but of course, I hate a bad one, and there have been a fair share of both over the last few years!

An exciting collaboration, which was announced this week, is between one of my favourite high street brands, River Island, and one of my favourite singers, Rihanna. The Barbados beauty has always had such cool style. Never afraid to look grungy, sexy, high fashion, low key, whatever, she does it all and always carries off each look with amazingly. I love how her style has evolved over the years, and how for each video, performance and appearance, she looks different but always uniquely...well...Rihanna. Yes I am aware that she has a team of stylists, but even so, every look is her own.

Now River Island has always been one of my favourite high street haunts. Over the years their style has evolved - it follows trends and adapts the ones which will work best for them. Long gone are the days of sequins, beading and tack, which they used to be associated with and now they are one of the true British High Street giants, with collections that look cutting edge, high fashion and uniquely British.

It was really exciting then when River announced that they were approached by Rihanna, to create a brand new collaboration.

Rihanna said; “I’ve been wanting to design my own collection for some time. River Island is the perfect partner for me to collaborate with and working with a British, family run business also really appealed to me. I find London really inspiring and River Island loves to have fun with clothes. I’m looking forward to working with them and creating something really special.”

Ri-Ri's collection will hit stores in spring 2013. I cannot wait to see what it'll be like and I'll share more when more news (and hopefully sneak peaks) of the collection are made public.

What do you think of this collaboration? Are you a fan of River Island and Rihanna, and of celebrity collaborations? Enjoy x

Cover to Cover

Elle magazine has always been one of my favourite glossy mags. I interned there for six months when I first started my fashion career and I have been a loyal reader ever since.

As well as the UK version of the mag, I love the US version. I do think our version has the edge - I may be biased, but British style always out does US style! But the covers do rival each other and each month there seems to be a battle, who has the best cover.

This month is a tricky one, in the US corner, is queen of individual style and pop hip hop star Rihanna and in the UK corner is English rose and all round stunner Emily Blunt. Both girls look beautiful. Rihanna looks fierce and ultra glamorous in a full Versace get up from the SS12 collection, a smoking 80's inspired barnet and a fabulous front on facial pose. Emily Blunt on the other hand looks demure yet powerful in a stunning black Fendi number, a sleek updo and natural, smoky make-up.

It really is a tough one to call, both women look amazing, but if I had to choose my favourite, I think I'd have to go with Emily Blunt. I normally hate poses which show the underarms, but this one if just gorgeous. Aspirational and fashionable without being OTT. Hats off to you Elle UK and USA, you sure can shoot a cover!

Another Amazing Vogue Cover!

Not much to say really...Vogue's November issue will soon be hitting newsstands, and the cover star, none other than the fabulous and fashionably-fierce Rihanna!

Vogue, you have gotten this cover sooooooo right! This is her Vogue UK debut, and Rhi Rhi looks like a modern day, uber stylish Marylin Monroe, complete with Marylin-esque hair and an absolutely stunning Armani Prive dress (suitable considering she is the new face of Armani!)

I love this cover. It is so fresh and uncomplicated and Rihanna looks utterly feminine, with the dress showing off her knock-out curves beautifully.

Rihanna's Campaign For Armani Jeans

Ooh...check out these steamy and gorgeous campaign ads for Armani Jeans, starring the beautiful Rihanna!

Rhi Rhi has replaced the vampy Megan Fox (good choice Armani!) for the campaigns, which have been shot in sultry monotone, by Steven Klein. The shots are reminiscent of a film noir, with Rihanna sharing the lime light with a sexy, classic car.

The shots are ultra sexy and yet completely classy, with Rihanna donning a pair of tight jeans and cropped knitwear, with the other shots showcasing her ultra toned bod in a bra and leather jacket combo...jealous...moi??

Rihanna is also the new face for Emporio Armani Underwear...cannot wait to see those shots! Enjoy x

Brit Awards 2011 - The Style Stakes!

Last night the 2011 Brit Awards took place in London, with a host of stars gracing the red carpet and the stage. Of course, the music and the awards were very important, but, as always, who wore what was paramount!

Top of the best dressed list has to be Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, new comer Jessie J. Cheryl looked gorgeous in a backless Stella McCartney number, elegant and sexy, Miss Cole looked stunning. Rihanna had a couple of outfit changes through out the evening, but my favourite was her red carpet look - a vibrant and sexy Dior dress, which ticked all the boxes for SS11 - colourful, clashing and bold! The red haired singer looked simply fab in the sparkly purple and turquoise number, complete with turquoise shoes. Love! Finally, critics choice Jessie J looked very cool in a structured mini metallic green showstopper, which suited her style and personality brilliantly, and her uber cool black bob and full fringe looked as fab as always.

I thought Ellie Goulding could have done a little better - her silky, nude ensemble, pale make up and pinky blonde hair made her look very washed out and a little older than her years. Sophie Ellis Bextor looked like she was heading to a prom, or a barn dance in a very predictable red and black strapless dress, but my biggest gripe of the night was Avril Lavigne. Her dress was a black Julien McDonald with a feather mini skirt, acceptable, but her hair...love, you're a wife, mother and well past your early teenage rebel days, so put down the multi coloured highlighter pens and maybe try a new look eh?

Pics below, enjoy! x

Add a Splash of Colour to your Spring Summer Wardrobe

OK, so perhaps the warmer months aren't the best time to whip out a winter accessory, and I am most certainly NOT an advocate of fur in fashion...but OMG...Prada's SS11 fur stole is just heaven wrapped around your neck!!

I am hoping and praying that the high street does some amazing faux versions of this technicolour beauty. It is already coveted in the fashion world, with fashion champions such as Marc Jacobs, Anna Dello Russo and Rihanna rocking this summer's fiercest accessory. It's also graced the cover of hip mag Numero, and I'm sure will be copied a million times in the upcoming months.

So no, I can't afford Prada, just yet, but come on Topshop...get a look a like on board!! Enjoy x

Mawi Please!!

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you would know by now that I have a thing for statement jewellery. OK, I'm more obsessed. If it's big, chunky, gold and adorned with weird and wacky embellishments, then I'm in heaven.

Once upon a time I was a humble little fashion intern at Elle magazine, and it was there that I was introduced to my favourite jewellery brand of all time. I remember trying on a ring that looked like an animal door knocker, a real knuckle duster, and an incredible massive gold chain with a huge round green jewel incased in a gold claw. A fellow intern grimaced at the pieces, herself preferring a simple chain and earrings, but I was in love. If you haven't heard of Mawi, please visit the website now! Celeb fans include fashion queenie and meanie Olivia Palermo and the fierce Rihanna.

I was lucky enough to be given one of the amazing leopard door knocker rings at one of my jobs, and now I covet the rest of the collections! Be warned, these pieces are not for the faint hearted - only wear if you have a spirit as fierce as Queen Beyonce! I've put a few images below. Enjoy! x

New Style Icon?

So it seems that there is a new Rihanna and Gaga on the block!

Introducing Nicki Minaj, you might not know that name yet, but you'll soon be very familiar. She's just released track "Check it Out" with Will.i.am (come on...it's William) and Cheryl Cole and rocks some uber amazing Harajuku style outfits and hair dos...love it!!

Nicki Minaj has just landed in London town, and has already shown us some amazing out of this world looks. She isn't as Gaga as the Lady but her looks combine designer pieces and unique quirky touches - such as her Marge Simpson candy floss hair and psychedelic jumpsuits.

The girl has already done a crazy shoot for V Magazine, and I just love a girl who isn't afraid to take risks with her look. What do you think? Is the Minaj the new Rihanna or Lady Gaga? The girl is gorgeous, talented and fierce...I'm going to be keeping a close eye on this rock and roll rapper! Enjoy x
