Topshop's New Gypsy Rocker Collection

The fabulous Topshop has always been one of my favourite British High Street haunts. Much to my hubby's dismay, I can never pass a Toppers without somehow magically being swept into it and having a quick (alright, lengthy) peruse at its latest collections.

However, this season I haven't been very impressed. Normally I would find an armful of dresses, cardis and skirts that I would have to justify buying, but for the last few times I've been in, I have been able to walk out without a single purchase. Thankfully, this has all changed now, thanks to the new Gypsy Rocker collection!

Bored of the normal festival/hippy inspired summer collections? The Gypsy Rocker collection brings together the best of the these trends and combines them with a dash of gypsy rose, a touch of rocker and a lot of attitude! Frills and kitsch prints and fruit prints (inspired by Stella McCartney's SS11 collection no doubt) tropical jewellery and embroidery make this collection fun, playful and perfect for the summer months.

Personal favourites have the be a gorgeous black suede fringe bag, a fab Navajo fringed crop top, a sweet blazer jacket covered in tiny elephants and an essential cream tiered maxi skirt.

I've put a few pics below to give you a taster, but you should visit the collection to get a real idea (and be prepared to part with your money!). Enjoy x

Black fringe bag £30

Navaho cropped vest £16

Gypsy calf skirt £28

Brown elephant print jacket £50

Cream crochet collar top £32

Grey suede fringe cape £195

Orange paisley lace dress £29

Cream crinkle tiered maxi skirt £35

Sleeveless denim cropped jacket £35

Warehouse's SS11 Collection Instore Now!

So I managed to partake in a little retail therapy yesterday, especially necessary seeing as I have a multitude of weddings, engagements and other events this summer to attend, and I stumbled into Warehouse - not a store I normally shop in.

I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised! Their summer collection is hot, hot, hot! I am in love with the 70's maxi dress trend at the moment, and love all of the chiffon frills and details that accompany this trend, and Warehouse had the most gorgeous collection to satisfy my obsession! Beautiful silk maxis adorned with tribal prints and floral prints, midi length chiffon pieces nipped in at the waist and gorgeous camel and caramel hues all begging to be worn!

This really is the perfect collection to compliment my favourite trends for the SS11 season. I've put a few of my favourite pieces below. Enjoy x

My personal favourite! This will be in my wardrobe!!

Primarks SS11 Campaign

Um hello! How amazing is Primark's SS11 video campaign? I felt like I was watching a Prada...well...maybe not Prada, but at least a Marc Jacobs or Ralph Lauren campaign vid.

The guy and gal model look uber high fashion, chic and just the right amount of beautiful model bored. I love this collection, and it's clear to see that Primark have truly drawn inspiration from some of the best collections from the SS11 catwalks, including Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Pucci and Jill Sander.

Definite favourites include the horizontal stiped maxi dress, peasant girl dress and paisley print kaftan maxi...and the boys stuff ain't bad either. Little slim fit sailor t-shirts, boat shoes and candy stripe shorts...it's a collection worthy of the most fashionable guys in Shoreditch! Have a gander and get down to Primark ASAP before all the best bits go...you know they will! Enjoy x

I Heart Marks and Sparks!

I have been a fan of Marks and Spencer's Limited Collection for a while now. Each season they seem to present an amazing collection of fashion forward pieces, supported of course by the now famous M&S adverts - who doesn't love seeing Twiggy, Danni and VV prancing around in the latest collections?

This season, Marks and Sparks have once again delivered. They have focused on three of the best trends that SS11 has to offer - festival chic, seventies deluxe and super feminine. On the website they have created fab campaigns to illustrate all three of these looks, showcasing the individual products and showing you how to look less high street and more high fashion.

Palazzo pants with vibrant prints, chiffon blouses, bug eyed sunnies, fringed bags, leopard print harem pants, fluffy vintage style cardigans...the wish list goes on and on!!

I've put some of my fave pieces below, but snap them up quick, because they ain't going to last forever!

Enjoy! x

Brit Awards 2011 - The Style Stakes!

Last night the 2011 Brit Awards took place in London, with a host of stars gracing the red carpet and the stage. Of course, the music and the awards were very important, but, as always, who wore what was paramount!

Top of the best dressed list has to be Cheryl Cole, Rihanna, new comer Jessie J. Cheryl looked gorgeous in a backless Stella McCartney number, elegant and sexy, Miss Cole looked stunning. Rihanna had a couple of outfit changes through out the evening, but my favourite was her red carpet look - a vibrant and sexy Dior dress, which ticked all the boxes for SS11 - colourful, clashing and bold! The red haired singer looked simply fab in the sparkly purple and turquoise number, complete with turquoise shoes. Love! Finally, critics choice Jessie J looked very cool in a structured mini metallic green showstopper, which suited her style and personality brilliantly, and her uber cool black bob and full fringe looked as fab as always.

I thought Ellie Goulding could have done a little better - her silky, nude ensemble, pale make up and pinky blonde hair made her look very washed out and a little older than her years. Sophie Ellis Bextor looked like she was heading to a prom, or a barn dance in a very predictable red and black strapless dress, but my biggest gripe of the night was Avril Lavigne. Her dress was a black Julien McDonald with a feather mini skirt, acceptable, but her hair...love, you're a wife, mother and well past your early teenage rebel days, so put down the multi coloured highlighter pens and maybe try a new look eh?

Pics below, enjoy! x

River Island's SS11 Collection is My New Love!

So there I was having a gander at Look online, and I came across a set of pics that stopped me dead in my tracks...I know I rave about their winter collections and moan about their crappy sales, but I rarely get all excited by their spring and summer line - well, this year, River Island have got it very, VERY right!!

Full of those incredible trends that we saw on the runways six months ago, River Island have adopted the most wearable, and at the same time directional, trends that the SS11 collections had on offer. Fancy a bit of prairie chic? no problem, want to give the 70's trend a whirl? They have it covered. How about some crazy colour blocking and prints? You'll definitely find your fill!

Throw in a mix of stunning sheer maxi skirts, beautiful leather separates and some fab statement summer sandals and you've got a high street winner!

I know there are still some sales on, but please, bypass the temptation of a £10 cardigan that you really don't need, or want, and treat your wardrobe to some gorgeous new goodies!! Enjoy x

Prada's SS11 Campaign Makes Me Happy!!

I am not usually a sucker for ad campaigns, but Prada's SS11 campaign video has made me come over all smiley and happy!

Not only have they captured the spirit of summer and, in my opinion, clothing happiness with their SS11 collection, which is filled with colour, pattern, wacky designs and beautiful pieces (not to mention a whole heap of clashing colours and patterns...something I lurrrrrrve) but they have created a campaign video which encapsulates the whole mood of their collection, and is sure to bring a huge smile to your face!

I might not be able to afford the new collection...but I'm more than happy shopping the high street for knock offs, and watching this video to give me the balls and attitude to rock the Prada SS11 look! Take a leaf from Prada's book and enjoy colour and pattern this summer, and if you need a little inspiration, watch the video below and you'll be shakin' your booty and dressing brightly in no time!

Enjoy! x

Get Ahead of the Trends with Pret-a-Rever!

I'm very excited today, as I've had a wee fashion article published in the JC today (all the Jewish mummies are very proud) but I don't want to toot my own horn - I'd rather gush over an amazing new website founded by an amazing gal, Lucy Norris.

Say hello to Pret-a-Rever! This fab new exclusive website, is all about being on trend - but not on trend now, or even next season, but the season after that and beyond! It also allows you to buy into those seasons, so you'll really have your finger on the fashion pulse. Forget about that camel coat for AW10 and the colour blocking for SS11 - you'll be knowing what to rock before the High Street has any idea!

Pret-a-Rever is a new online magazine website dedicated to the stories within, not only fashion, but all creative industries. Not only is it packed with stimulating editorial content, but it has a trend guide, which shows you where trends come from and where they are going. Once the content has enticed you to buy, you can click on the pic and be directed to an online luxury retailer, such as my-wardrobe or Start-London (and loads more in the pipeline!)

This a a truly revolutionary website, and I believe amazing things are going to come of it - remember the name and be ahead of the trend!
