Matalan's Hot AW12 Collection

Yes, yes I know...we haven't even had a summer yet but already we're being prepped for the new collections for the new season. The weather has been awful and while the shops are on the final legs of their summer sales, already the first drops of AW12 are starting to sneak in.

Some people might find this crazy, and will still be searching for that perfect summer maxi dress, but personally, I embrace the autumn/winter collections, and I get so excited when they start appearing on the high street.

I was perusing a few of my favourite fashion websites this weekend, and I came across a group of pictures from an AW12 collection, which made me stop in my tracks. I never normally shop in Matalan, but what I have seen so far of their AW12 collection has really impressed me. On trend, easy to wear, super stylish and so affordable! What a fabulous combination.

I have put a few of my favourite pieces below. I can't wait to start my autumn shopping, and this collection is where I'm going to start. What do you think of Matalan? Do you think it's too early to start shopping for the new season? Enjoy x

I Heart Marks and Sparks!

I have been a fan of Marks and Spencer's Limited Collection for a while now. Each season they seem to present an amazing collection of fashion forward pieces, supported of course by the now famous M&S adverts - who doesn't love seeing Twiggy, Danni and VV prancing around in the latest collections?

This season, Marks and Sparks have once again delivered. They have focused on three of the best trends that SS11 has to offer - festival chic, seventies deluxe and super feminine. On the website they have created fab campaigns to illustrate all three of these looks, showcasing the individual products and showing you how to look less high street and more high fashion.

Palazzo pants with vibrant prints, chiffon blouses, bug eyed sunnies, fringed bags, leopard print harem pants, fluffy vintage style cardigans...the wish list goes on and on!!

I've put some of my fave pieces below, but snap them up quick, because they ain't going to last forever!

Enjoy! x

I Heart Lanvin

My heart is all of a flutter! Lanvin is a label that I have always coveted – designer Alber Elbaz always manages to create timeless pieces that appear to flatter women of all shapes. His soft drapes and feminine folds always entice me, and I have longed to own one of his creations for ages…well…now I can…sort of! Yesterday was the first official preview of the hotly anticipated Lanvin collection for H&M.

Now, the H&M designer collaborations have always been a bit hit of miss (let us never mention the Kylie or Madonna collections again), but they do sometimes strike gold (hello Roberto Cavalli) and this collaboration with Lanvin looks set to be the best yet! The collection hits stores 23rd November, and with prices as low as £7.99 (OK, that’s for a lipstick) to a mere £199.99 for a beautiful bejewelled coat with detachable fur collar, this is a collection that is sure to be a complete sell out.

Elbaz has really stuck to his creative roots with this collection, and each piece looks like it could have stepped right off of the catwalk. Sexy leopard print and red patent stilettos with diamante encrusted heels compliment the black and floral print styles complete with bows. The signature appliqué t-shirts have been recreated for the H&M collection for the very reasonable sum of £29.99. However, if you want to own a piece of true Lanvin, nab yourself a cocktail dress (if you’re quick enough) which are fun, flirty and fabulously feminine.

There’s also a nice little collection for the boys, including blazers, bow ties and lace up shoes, so you can get your fella a little piece of fashion gold
(or buy yourself an extra piece from the collection!)

So get yourself down to H&M on the 23rd or, if you don’t fancy the stampede of bargain loving fashionistas, log onto http://www.hm.com/
