Sarah Jessica Parker in GLEE

Eeeeek!!!!!

Two of my favourite things - fashion and Glee have come together to create an amazing cameo for the fourth season of my fave show.

None other than style icon Sarah Jessica Parker is to make a fabulous guest appearance in the latest season of Glee.

In this ground breaking episode, SJP plays the role of Vogue.com editor, Isabelle Wright, who is meeting Kurt, who is a potential Vogue intern.

Naturally, SJP was styled by none other than Vogue Editor-in-Chief, Anna Wintour and her wardrobe features looks by Prabal Gurung, Altuzarra, Belstaff, and Fendi. "It's fashion, but it's not crazy and eccentric" said Parker. "We're doing very strong, simple shifts. It's sexy, hard, and facilitative."

It hasn't been stated how many episodes SJP will appear in, so I guess we'll just have to wait until the newest season airs early next year. Boooooooooo!!!

In the meantime, here is a just released clip of the two most fabulous stylista's on TV first meeting. Enjoy x

Disney Royalty Grace the World's Best Magazine Covers

For those who know me, you'll know that I am a huge fan of Disney. I know practically every Disney animated film by heart and, along with my cousin Lucie, we can kick anyone's butt at Disney trivial pursuit!

Anyway, with Disney and fashion being two loves of my life, it was only obvious that when the Tumblr Petite Tiaras decided to put iconic Disney princesses, including Cinderella, Snow White, Tiana, Jasmine and Pocahontas, on the covers of some of the world's best magazine covers; Elle, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Cosmo etc, that I would be all over that!!! The cover stories even reflected the princess's stories. Well now Petite Tiara has done it again with the Disney Princes, who have taken on the likes of GQ, National Geographic and Esquire. How amazing! Prince Charming, Beast, John Smith and Eric rock as male cover stars!

If only all magazines could feature these animated hotties, my life would be complete. I've put the images below, maybe Condé Nast will get some inspiration...enjoy x

Monki Love!

A couple of weeks ago during Vogue's Fashion Night Out (read about it here) I popped into Selfridges with a couple of friends  - one of whom is an amaaaazing artist! Check out her stuff here - to check out the new H&M concession (again, read about that here). It's a gorgeous concession, boutique like and filled with the best that H&M has to offer in its current collection. However, what really caught our eye was the concession across from it, a brand that I had never seen before, but we were instantly drawn to it.

The brand was Monki, and for those of you who haven't heard of it, it's from the same group as H&M and COS, so the designs are similar in that they are quirky, on-trend without being overly "fashiony" and distinctly unique. I love the slight geeky quality that the clothes have, with cute animal prints, chunky knits, ankle boots, skater skirts, shift dresses, cute bags and jewellery, peter pan collars...Ooh I could go on!!

The descriptions for the clothes are beyond cute. Check this out for way of a description for the Tilda jumper below: "Life is a fairy-tale this autumn. Skip and hop and stride like a queen over the fields of the Monki World, chase the big bad wolf and play a game of tag with secret-keeper Nokimi. Tilda is the cape to keep you company – or to rock the streets in. Elegant and eye-catching, she is a classically knit and oh so mmm-mmmm... " Don't you just love it??

The brand, although relatively new to the UK, is now available to purchase online (yay) and the prices are extremely reasonable - £12 for a massive chunky scarf, £30 for a dress, £25 for shoes...those sort of prices, really similar to H&M.

I've put a few of my favourite pieces below. I'd love to know what you think! Enjoy x

Adele - Vogue's October Cover Star!

Wow, and I mean wow! I was amazed when I spied the october issue of Vogue. The fashion bible normally covers everyone from models to movie stars to our face celebs, and this month, I feel they have truly outdone themselves.

In an issue celebrating the English woman, Vogue decided, quite rightly, a woman who is not only beautiful and incredibly talented, but who also defies the size zero epidemic.

Adele looks chic, stylish and perfectly at home gracing the cover and pages of the world famous glossy.

Bravo Vogue, you have done it once again and congrats Adele for a truly stunning cover. Enjoy x

Dylan Lauren's Stunning Wedding Dress Designed by Daddy Ralph!

Now I loved my wedding dress so much, but after sneaking a peak at the August issue of Vogue and seeing Dylan Lauren (as in daughter of Ralph) looking drop dead stunning in a beautiful bespoke dress made for her by her designer daddy, I couldn't help but being a tad bit jealous...

The gorgeous garment is made of handmade duchess satin, silk tulle and georgette and features an off-the-shoulder ruffle with tiny straps. It’s tight-fitting down to the thigh, then explodes into an embroidered train with ruffles. A proper fairytale princess gown! Sigh...Ralph got some further expert help from renowned best friend to brides, Vera Wang, and it was definitely worth it.

Now, perhaps I can convince my hubby to get married again, just so I can wear this bridal beauty...enjoy! x

A Couple of Fab Magazine Covers and Masters of Style...

Sorry I have been absent for so long...I've had a few decisions to make over the last week or so which required lots od deliberating...so blogging had to be put on hold!

I went to a fabulous event last week with fellow blogger buddy, Rachael Oku of Creative Idle called Masters of Style. This was a brilliant preview and press party for this new exhibition at Somerset House, and we were tres flattered to be invited and mingle among the fashion elite. Curated and (on the night), hosted by fashion historian, commentator and journalist for the Sunday Times, Colin McDowell; this groundbreaking exhibition marks the 150th anniversary of Italy’s unification. Masters of Style brought together six of the nation’s most influential fashion houses to celebrate the stories behind Italian fashion’s emergence on the international stage. Synonymous with the variety, style, originality, workmanship and high quality of the Made in Italy label, the six iconic design houses under the spotlight are Armani, Missoni, Gucci, D&G, Prada and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Whilst enjoying gorgeous canapes and champagne (we bypassed the Peroni beers, one of the events sponsors of the night), we had a mooch around the exhibition, which consisted of each of the designers choosing their favourite campagins from their back catalogues, and showcasing them in little individual enclosures. It was amazing to see which campaigns the designers treasured, and offered so much insight into the designer's inspirations.

So, apart from that amazing night, I've spotted a couple of mag covers that deserve a bit of a shout out!

Firstly, the beautiful and talented Anne Hathaway, who in my eyes is one of Hollywood's most gorgeous and watchable actresses, covers Harpers Bazaar. The actress looks demure and stunning on the cover, and in the fashion shoot, she wears a beautiful palette of reds and creams which is bang on for the new season. The mag hits the newstands of July 12th, so make sure you grab yourself a copy!

If I had to do my wedding again...I'd so wear this dress!!

Finally, I love this cover for Vogue's August issue. Kate Moss looks young, fresh and ever so slightly fairy like! The outfit, hair and make up all work really well for the newly married super model and she looks more like she did in her glory days...working the super model look again! Well done Kate, married life obviously agrees with you!

Emma Watson Smoulders On Her First US Vogue Cover

A big congrats to little Emma Watson, who has bagged her first US Vogue cover!

Photographed by legendary photographer Mario Testino, Miss Watson can be seen in the magazine wearing gorgeous and high fashion attire by the likes of Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Prada and Dolce and Gabbana. Her hair is slicked back and her lips a vampy dark red...the girl has come a long way from her bushy haired days of playing Hermoine Granger.

Well done Emma, you're flying the flag for Brits proud...and you look stunning! Enjoy x

Zoe and Morgan's AW11 Collection

Last night I went to the uber trendy and stylish Dean Street Town House Hotel, to attend the AW11 launch (and sample sale) of ultra cool and rock and roll jewellery range Zoe and Morgan. Upon entering the hotel, we were directed to a bedroom on the first floor, which was packed with fashion folk and friends and family of the jewellery designers.
If you're unfamiliar with the range, Zoe and Morgan was officially launched in 2006, and their pieces have featured in Vogue, Elle, pop and InStyle to name but a few!! They are the jewellery brand of choice for fashion editors and word of mouth has caused a flurry of interest amongst the fashionable celebs out there, fans including; Garance Dore, Alexa Chung, Lilly Donaldson, Emma Watson and Kate Moss to name but a few.
The jewellery ranges from rings and earrings to necklaces and bracelets, and it took all of my strength to not forgo a months mortgage to buy the whole lot!! Skulls are blended with flowers, snakes hold turquoise marbles in their mouths, gold plated eternity snake bangles, rings with tiny stars, each containing a single sapphire, slender chains come adorned with the sweetest pendants - tiny fox cubs, little bear faces, rabbits popping out of hats, anchors, "love" and "magic," fox door knockers and, in their AW11 collection, incredible scarab beetles. There's even a collection for the men folk, so you can look equally cool and rock and roll!
I've put a few of my fave pieces below, and make sure you check the website to have a gander. Prices range from anything from £60-£2,000!
Enjoy x
