Disney Royalty Grace the World's Best Magazine Covers

For those who know me, you'll know that I am a huge fan of Disney. I know practically every Disney animated film by heart and, along with my cousin Lucie, we can kick anyone's butt at Disney trivial pursuit!

Anyway, with Disney and fashion being two loves of my life, it was only obvious that when the Tumblr Petite Tiaras decided to put iconic Disney princesses, including Cinderella, Snow White, Tiana, Jasmine and Pocahontas, on the covers of some of the world's best magazine covers; Elle, Vogue, Vanity Fair, Cosmo etc, that I would be all over that!!! The cover stories even reflected the princess's stories. Well now Petite Tiara has done it again with the Disney Princes, who have taken on the likes of GQ, National Geographic and Esquire. How amazing! Prince Charming, Beast, John Smith and Eric rock as male cover stars!

If only all magazines could feature these animated hotties, my life would be complete. I've put the images below, maybe Condé Nast will get some inspiration...enjoy x

Today's Obsession...

Dear Santa,

I have been really good this year and I hope you don't mind, but I've got my eye on a few fabulous fashion finds which I would REALLY love to receive this year...

No readers I haven't gone mental, it's just that tomorrow is the 1st December and my Christmakah wish list is finally being unveiled upon the world...so Santa, if you are in the blogosphere and you enjoy reading fashion blogs...I hope you see this! Today's obsession and top of the wish list is this gorgeous necklace by Mawi for Disney Couture. Two of my favourite things - amazing avant garde jewellery designer Mawi and the magical-ness of Disney - all wrapped up into one! yes please!

If you would like to add this little beauty to your wish list, you can find one on ASOS...or just ask Santa ;o) Enjoy x

Peter Alexander's Disney Collection

So you might remember about a year ago when I first started Belle of the Ball, that I did a post about my favourite sleepwear and leisure wear designer, Peter Alexander (click here to read it again to refresh your memory).

Unfortunately, this is an Australian brand, so I can very rarely indulge in the cute and quirky designs, but I have just seen their new limited collection...and folks...it is awesome! I am a huge, HUGE fan of Disney (the classic movies...not the actual guy) and I was so excited to see that Peter Alexander have collaborated with Disney to create their limited Disney Vintage collection!

Definite stand-outs for me (which is hard to choose as I love them all!) are the Bambi silk nightshirt, the Cinderella nightie, and the Dumbo PJ set...Oh can't I have them all?!?

The best of the Disney classic movies are showcased in the collection, including; Bambi, Cinderella, Dumbo, Snow White, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations and Sleeping Beauty...if only they had The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, my life would be complete.

The collections is utterly feminine and grown-up, while being sweetly child-like...the perfect combination if you're a grown-up but a kid at heart! Enjoy x

MAC and Me!

Fun day today - I had a make up trial for my upcoming wedding in Feb! A fab girl called Elina popped over with a SUITCASE...yes...a whole suitcase filled with delectable MAC goodies! She is not a weird hoarder, Elina works for MAC, pretty high up, and does freelance make-up on the side...fab way to make a living.

Now I am someone who is very particular about my make-up. I don't like foundation, I love dramatic eyes, and I like my eyeliner done only a certain way. That being said, I wanted to be open about the trial - but I knew that a typical "bridal" look is not something that is...well...me. I love experimenting with make up, especially my eyes, and I knew that a pretty and subtle look just wouldn't cut it, and I want to look like me on my wedding day..just better!

Elina was fab, she took all of this on board and whipped open her case...my mouth dropped! It was as if she had swept an entire MAC counter into her bag. hundreds of lipsticks, lip glosses and lip pencils, dozens of foundations, powders and brushes and just a massive amount of eye shadow palettes, mascaras and eyeliners. Girl heaven in a bag.

I'm not going to give away too much, but needless to say, I was a MAC fan before, but now, I am their number one fan. The colours in the eyeshadows, pigments and lipsticks are just amazing. The mineralized foundation that Elina used glided on and felt like I was wearing nothing at all, but looked beautiful, and the lip gloss I opted for was a special charity edition, where the proceeds (minus VAT of course) goes to helping fight HIV and AIDS - it also looked perfect!

MAC have got some amazing collections at the moment, and I highly recommend popping down to your closest MAC counter (try going to Harrods if you can and ask for Elina) and testing out some products and fill your basket. My favourite has to be Venomous Villains - iinspired by the Dark Side of Disney the collection has four parts corresponding to each of the evil cartoon villains.
Cruella De Ville, the fur loving, skunk haired glam villain from 101 Dalmatians.
Evil Queen, the jealous and vain beauty queen from Snow White.
Maleficent, the witch/dragon who is quite possibly the scariest Disney baddy of all time from Sleeping Beauty.
Last but not least Dr Facilier, the voodoo baddy from The Princess and the Frog.

Other products I really recommend from today are Viva Glam, a new collection which features Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga - the lipgloss I'm wearing on my wedding day is from this collection. The Mineralize foundation, which goes on like a dream and the Prep and Prime Skin lotion, which is fab for popping onto the face before applying make up, as it minimises pores, gets rid of oils and makes make up stay put all day! Perfect for brides.

I've put some pics below so have a look, and check out the website. Enjoy x
