Hello Kitty!

So I have talked about my small obsession with Australian PJ designer Peter Alexander here and here. Ever since I discovered its existence in the land of Oz when I went travelling in my gap year with Darren, I have become a UK ambassador for the brand...not officially mind you...just...you know...going on about the brand to whoever would listen!

Well, I just wanted to do a quick post about Peter Alexander's latest collection, which features one of my all time favourite characters, Hello Kitty. Yep, the adorable Sanrio cat is the face of the new collection, aimed at both women and little girls.

It's so cute that I am very tempted to place a bulk order...from oversized tees to gorgeous PJ bottoms, sexy little nighties to shorts and sweet knickers to must have slippers, this collection has got to be one of my favourites from this quirky Australian brand.

The only downside...the store is only in Oz...why, why can't they come to London?! So if you fancy treating yourself to the best PJ's on the planet, I'm afraid you'll have to submit to the pricey overseas delivery...but trust me, it is worth it.

I wanted to share a few pics from the campaign with you. What do you think of this collection? Will you be rushing to place your order? Enjoy x

Peter Alexander's Disney Collection

So you might remember about a year ago when I first started Belle of the Ball, that I did a post about my favourite sleepwear and leisure wear designer, Peter Alexander (click here to read it again to refresh your memory).

Unfortunately, this is an Australian brand, so I can very rarely indulge in the cute and quirky designs, but I have just seen their new limited collection...and folks...it is awesome! I am a huge, HUGE fan of Disney (the classic movies...not the actual guy) and I was so excited to see that Peter Alexander have collaborated with Disney to create their limited Disney Vintage collection!

Definite stand-outs for me (which is hard to choose as I love them all!) are the Bambi silk nightshirt, the Cinderella nightie, and the Dumbo PJ set...Oh can't I have them all?!?

The best of the Disney classic movies are showcased in the collection, including; Bambi, Cinderella, Dumbo, Snow White, Peter Pan, Lady and the Tramp, 101 Dalmations and Sleeping Beauty...if only they had The Little Mermaid and Beauty and the Beast, my life would be complete.

The collections is utterly feminine and grown-up, while being sweetly child-like...the perfect combination if you're a grown-up but a kid at heart! Enjoy x

Peter's Dreamland of Nightime Fabulousness

OK, I'll let you in on a little secret. When the boy and I went travelling a few years back, we stumbled upon a little treasure that is huge in the land of Oz, but virtually unheard of over here. Now I love dressing up. I love buying clothes, layering them, getting dolled up (in my own quirky slightly strange way) for a night out, but sometimes, a little PJ action is required.

Allow me to introduce you to Peter Alexander. This incredible designer has created without doubt the best PJ's, nightware and leisure ware available. A visit to the website alone is enough to make you fall in love. Each season, new designs emerge, from unicorns to spacemen, cowboys to flowers on PJ pants, sets, nightshirts, sexy night dresses and cosy robes; there truly is something for everyone.

When we first walked into the store in Melbourne, I immediately grabbed about eight pairs of PJ pants, leopard print, garden roses, spacemen, skulls and some other wacky creations. I only managed to buy two pairs (travelling with a rucksack for almost 4 months left little room for shopping) but I have been a regular visitor to their website ever since, updating my PJ drawer (make that drawers) each season. The menfolk are also catered for at this bedtime dreamland, and not only that, you can get yourself a matching pair, his and hers! This is something the boy and I keep meaning to do, but I haven't quite convinced him yet.

The prices are reasonable for the designs and quality of the pieces - around $40 for a pair of PJ bottoms (roughly £24) and delivery time is pretty snappish. The only slightly strange thing is that when it's our winter, it's their summer and vice versa, so, as it works in the wonderful world of fashion, you have to stock up a season ahead, buy your summer nightware now and keep it locked away and when our springtime hits, get your hands on their snuggly winter garbs.

Sigh...makes me never want to get dressed again!
