All I Want for Christmas...

Happy day after Boxing Day everyone!

I hope you all had the most wonderful Christmas's imaginable, and are continuing to enjoy the festive season. I had a fab Chrismakah which included a festive get together with friends at my parents house on X-mas eve, which consisted of games, food and an improvised jam session with my dad. Chrissy day was spent with my family and the hubby's family...three xmas meals, bingo, secret santas and loads of fun.

I just wanted to share with you what I was fortunate enough to get this year. My amazing boy must have paid very close attention to the blog, as he treated me to a stunning Mitzi Hobo bag from Mulberry!! I love it so much. We were then very sneaky and discovered that the bag went on sale on Boxing Day, so after returning it and re-buying it...he then treated me to an amazing Vivenne Westwood purse with the difference! I am very, very lucky! I do whole heartedly believe in investing in designer accessories, especially timeless ones, as they last you years, and I'll be keeping these gorgeous pieces for a loooooong time!

I was also lucky enough to receive from my parents and brother and sister-in-law to be a variety of amazing things which I've been hankering after for a while, including 2 spirit hood style hats from River Island (got one from each...2 is so better than 1!), CDs and DVDs, Rose by Paul Smith, a gorgeous gold metallic jumper, studded black boots and gauze and silver skirt from Zara, a black silky maxi skirt from River Island, a beautiful Benefit make-up set and an amazing kit from Soap and Glory, which has about 15 products in it!

I feel very, very fortunate to have such a wonderful family with such great taste, and I've put some piccy's of my amazing hoard below. What about you?? What did santa bring you this year? Enjoy x

The Royal Wedding of the Century!

What an amazing day! What an incredible ceremony. What amazing fashion! I could go on and on for days about the outfits, the guests, the ceremony and the emotion that was so real for such a publicised event. London looked simply amazing, and I feel so proud to be a Londoner - historic, noble and like something out of the pages of story books.

The whole day has been wonderful, from the crowds of fans and well-wishers to the procession of the guests to guessing who will wear what. I had quite a few sniffles, but enough of that, let's get to the most important bit...the fashion!!

What an incredible day for British fashion! All the most prominent members of the Royal family wore designers by British fashion houses. The Prime Minister's wife Sam Cam wore a stunning electric blue Burberry dress, our Queen looked so pretty in a sunshine yellow dress by Angela Kelly, Kate Middleton's mother Carole looked amazing in a streamlined grey/blue coat dress by Catherine Walker, Camilla wore a beautiful champagne silk coat dress by Anna Valentine and Princess Beatrice wore Vivienne Westwood. Kate's sister, her beautiful bridesmaid, wore a simple ivory sheath with a cowl neck by Alexander Mcqueen's Creative Director Sarah Burton. And there were Philip Treacy hats everywhere! That man must have had a few sleepless weeks!!

Let's not forget the boys! Our Prince Wills looked so handsome in his red Irish Guard uniform, adorned with gold, and Harry looked equally dapper in his Blues and Royal uniform. Top form lads! You've done us proud!

But of course, most importantly is our new princess! The debate of who she would wear went on for months. Would it be Alice Temperly, Bruce Oldfield or Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Well, we waited with bated breath as the stunning Catherine stepped elegantly into the car, barely getting a glimpse of delicate lace and a whisper of a veil. It was ivory, that was clear, but it wasn't until she emerged at the Abbey that we were able to get a real view of the Princess.

And she wore Sarah Burton, the Creative Director for Alexander McQueen, one of Britain's most well loved designers, who we tragically lost last year. Kate looked beyond gorgeous, I was so not disappointed! Her make up was natural, gentle and accentuated her beautiful features. Her hair was natural as well, worn half up and half down with gentle curls at the back, and our new princess wore the Queen's halo tiara in her hair, by Cartier. The dress is delicate and intricate. Lace covered her shoulders as gently as a spider's web, and the ivory dress - simple, understated and simply glorious. Grace Kelly-esque in it's elegance, Kate's waist is defined and her train flowed behind her over 2 metres long. In short, our new Princess looked every inch the princess of little girl's dreams. Good choice Kate, I couldn't imagine a more perfect dress.

I'll sign off now, as I want to carry on watching our new Prince and Princess! Ain't it exciting?? Pictures to follow. Enjoy x

Vivienne Westwood Designs for Comic Relief!

One of my favourite designers of all time Vivienne Westwood has put her incredible design talents to charitable use. The fab British designer has created a collections of t-shirts for Comic Relief, each depicting iconic historical images, including Shakespeare, Queen Elizabeth and...ahem...Blackadder!! All with a funny twist!

Not only has she created some feel-good fashion, but she's got some of her celeb mates to model the designs - with the likes of Sienna Miller, Helena Christensen, John Cleese, David Walliams, Ellie Goulding and Pixie Lott featuring in the new Comic Relief campaign.

Dame Viv commented: 'I once did a collection called 'I am Expensiv', meaning that we are supported by the suffering of the whole world in our privilege bubbles and we must try and help people a bit,' says Viv.

'Comic Relief does a lot and I try to help where I can. I do believe we are an endangered species and I think it is great to try and do anything you possibly can even if to help just one person. But Comic Relief does more than that.'

You can get yourself a t-shirt from TK Maxx stores and online from £14.99 for adult sizes. The T-shirts have been wholly manufactured in Africa from Fairtrade cotton, and don't forget to tune into Comic Relief on Friday 18th March! Enjoy x

I need this one!!
