With all the hype about the new Prince, and all the tacky memorabilia, which is sure to follow...crappy mug? Tacky figurine? Old fashioned thimble anyone? It's nice to see one of the UK's most tongue in cheek designer labels, create something fun and stylish to celebrate.
House of Holland, the label synonymous with catchy and kooky slogans has created a classic tea towel to celebrate Prince George's birth. But this is no ordinary tea towel...it comes complete with George's very own interpersonal House of Holland slogan...
...OMG HE'S GORGE OUR NEW PRINCE GEORGE the tea towel screams out, in bold lettering with Union Jack design filler.
I love this. The perfect way to celebrate the new Prince, son of a very stylish yummy mummy and from one of the UK's own fashion houses. Well done House of Holland. The award for best souvenir keepsake goes to you!
Available to purchase here for £25. What do you make of this funky tea towel? Enjoy x

Royal Baby Mania!
![]() |
capturing the moment they emerged! |
With all of the press releases I've been receiving, which have all been given a Royal baby twist, I have found myself well and truly swept up with the mania of it all.
I am actually a bit of a Kate and Wills fan. They're just so lovely and normal and Kate is so blooming gorgeous and nice, you can't really help but fall in love with her. I loved the fact that we were preggers at the same time and was so excited when the news broke that she had finally given birth to a baby boy.
With my eyes firmly on the TV, I found myself glued to the screen watching a hospital door for the best part of an hour and a half, awaiting the first glimpse of the future King of England. When the proud parents finally emerged with their little bundle, I was so happy to see Kate looking well and glowing and still sporting a baby bump - showing the world that that belly does NOT go down overnight. They looked so happy and although only a tiny glimpse of the baby was shown, he looked just as gorgeous as his mummy.
And the news has just been announced that Kate and Wills have named their little Prince George (that was my bet) Alexander Louis...yay he shares the same middle name as Elijah! Perfectly fitting for a future King of England.
Congrats again Kate and Wills and welcome to the wonderful world of parenthood...let me know if you need any tips ;o)
What do you make of the Royal baby mania? Have you been swept up in it? Enjoy x

Kristen Stewart Named World's Best Dressed Woman...WTF?!
So here's a headline I thought could never come into existence...Kristen Stewart, the moody, sullen gal who has bagged one of the world's most gorgeous men, has been named "World's Best Dressed Woman" in a recent poll by Glamour magazine...queue very confused and shocked face!
The girl who never smiles beat beauties such as our very own Princess Kate, Emma Watson, Emma Stone and Taylor Swift, all of whom made the top 5. The magazine stated that she tops the list due to her "personal rock chick style." Please! Lily Allen was rocking trainers and dresses years ago!
I really don't get this. The girl doesn't even dress herself for the red carpet...a team of stylists does! If you want to see her real style, check out her pap pics...really not very impressive. Kind of dirty looking and very Avril Lavigne in her popular days...yawn! Cue the likes of Kate Middleton, Emma Stone and Alexa Chung though on their non red carpet days and you see a very different definition of personal style, that is both individual, trendy and uniquely stylish.
To further prove my point, here are a few pics of Miss Stewart...Best Dressed? Let's see shall we?

Kate Middleton's First Official Portrait
Wow. What a reception Kate Middleton's first official portrait received when it was revealed this morning. P.S. excuse the different nature of this post...the art historian in me was desperate to write this :)
Art critics alike have dubbed the portrait of everyones favourite new Royal as "rotten." Yikes! Painted by Paul Emsley and unveiled this morning at the National Portrait Gallery, critics have stated that the portrait looks nothing like Kate in real life.
I'm not too sure how I feel about this portrait. I do think he has portrayed her looking older than her 31 years and Emsley has shown her with creases and lines around her eyes and a slightly dour, jowly face. I mean, let's face it, there is nothing dour about the gorgeous Kate.
He has captured her beauty, but there seems to be a little something missing. Her eyes look kind, but it would have been lovely if he caught her showing off her dazzling smile, which is so often captured in press shots of her.
Kate and Wills, along with her family went early to the gallery this morning, before the public viewing. Kate, who was wearing a gorgeous deep red Whistles dress (and showing no signs of a teeny baby bump) said that she was "thrilled" with the portrait and that is was "absolutely brilliant...it's just amazing." Her proud hubby called the painting "absolutely beautiful." Bless.
So at least they are happy with the portrait, which is the most important thing, and let's face it, critics are paid to...well...criticise!
What do you think of Kate's first official portrait? Enjoy x

Amber Rose Shows Off Perfect Baby Bump
As I approach my 33rd week of pregnancy (eek!) I'm getting more and more interested at how other women (more specifically - celebs) are dressing their baby bumps.
I can't wait to see how Kate Middleton will dress once she starts to show, and the same goes with Kim Kardashian.
One lady who always catches my eye is the absolutely stunning Amber Rose. It was her blue themed baby shower this weekend, and the gorgeous yummy mummy to be looked so stylish and showed off her baby bump to perfection in a fabulous Jeremy Scott for Adidas Originals Rainbow Keyboard dress. Known for her daring stance on maternity wear, Amber Rose didn't disappoint in this colourful little number.
She finished off her look with bright red lips and orange nails - perfect!
What do you think about Amber Rose's maternity wear attire? Are you excited to see how the next batch of preggo celebs will be dressing up their bumps? Enjoy x

Prince Harry is Tatler's Man of the Year!
Am I becoming a bit of a Royalist?!
November's issue of Tatler sees a rather dashing Prince Harry smouldering on the cover, in his official military uniform. The glossy has nicknamed him "Dirty Harry" Ooh I say, and announces him as the Tatler Man of the Year. Well done Harry! The magazine delves deep into Harry's partying ways.
I don't normally find Harry that good looking, but on this cover, there is definitely something about Harry - check out those dazzling eyes. The young prince is certainly popular at the moment (I'm sure those Vegas pictures helped a little bit) and with the likes of other Royal Family members Kate and Pippa gracing previous covers, a cover fit for a prince is just what the fashionista's ordered!
I haven't purchased my copy yet, but I think I'll be heading to the newsagent's at lunchtime. What do you think of this Royal front cover? Will you be purchasing a copy? Enjoy x

Kate Middleton Looking Gorgeous on Tour!
Oh I do love Kate Middleton!
This beautiful woman is such a role model, and her class, beauty, style and personality make her the perfect representative of our country.
While on tour in Asia, Kate has made a style statement on every single day. The Duchess of Cambridge is in South East Asia with her royal hubby Prince William to celebrate the Queen's Diamond Jubilee and her clothing choices have left us green with wardrobe envy.
Kate Middleton and Prince William's first public appearance was to the Singapore Botanical Gardens, where Duchess Kate wore a cream kimono-style dress by Jenny Packham.
On day two of their tour The Duchess of Cambridge wore a white broderie anglaise Alexander McQueen belted dress which she teamed with her favourite navy blue Russell & Bromley wedges straight off the high street.
Kate looked gorgeous in a purple and silver shift dress by Prabal Gurung, which she wore to attend Prince William's Guard Of Honour review, and later wore a pretty red, black and ivory print dress by Asian designer Raoul. For day three, she opted for another Jenny Packham number in blue lace, before flying to Kuala Lumpur, where she wore another Alexander McQueen gown.
On day four (when those awful photos of Kate were leaked in France) she maintained dignity (another reason why I love her!) and followed religious protocol by wearing a white chiffon dress by Beulah with a traditional headscarf.
On day five, rocked beige trousers and a dark green shirt on a trip to the Borneo Rainforest and on day six, Kate and Wills landed in the Solomon Islands, where she wore an Island Print dress.
Wow, what a fashion round up! I've put a selection of my favourite pics below. What do you think of Kate's tour style? Enjoy x

Diamond Jubilee
I just wanted to do a quickie post about the Diamond Jubilee.
It was an amazing few days in London - loads going on, fab sense of community, the concert, procession, service...it was a fun time to be a Brit.
The Queen looked beautiful every day of the celebrations. She stuck to the colour palette which works best for her, soft, pastel shades in cool blues, warm gold and sparkling silvery/white, and each of her outfits looked gorgeous. The other stand out star of the jubilations was of course, the stunning Kate Middleton...or Catherine Windsor...whichever, you know who I mean. She looked amazing, albeit a bit skinny, on both the boat procession day and the service day, where her attire was classic with a very contemporary twist and her hair and make-up were youthful and relaxed.
I've chosen my favourite Queen and Kate looks from the celebrations.
With the Queen, I particularly loved what she wore on the first day of the celebrations - a chic and simple studded white coat dress, and custom diamond encrusted hat (which had a really cool contemporary shape) by Angela Kelly and of course, her trusted black Lauder handbag.
As for Kate, I loved what she wore on the barge procession. Once again, she opted for British designer Alexander McQueen (great choice). The beautiful red pleated Mcqueen dress was stylish, eye-catching and showed off her narrow silhouette perfectly. I especially loved the cute pleated skirt, which was a younger sort of flirty touch - get ready for a lot of high street knock offs! She also wore her beloved nude LK Bennet shoes - a bit bored of these now, a red Sylvia Fletcher hat and a gorgeous silver dolphin brooch, which was given to her as a gift from the royal navy submarine service.
Did you watch any of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations? Enjoy x

Kate Middleton's Wedding Dress Goes on Display at Buckingham Palace!
Amazing news, the stunning, now legendary wedding dress worn by Kate Middleton and designed by Sarah Burton, has gone on display at Buckingham Palace!
Those who admired it from the comfort of our sofas at home, can now see the £250,000 Alexander McQueen dress right up close...if we can get our hands on what is rapidly becoming the hottest ticket in town.
But wait wait, it doesn't end there...not only will the dress be on show, but the shoes, tiara, veil, earrings, replica of the bouquet and even wedding cake will all be on full view! All for a ticket price of £17.50...not bad in my opinion.
It also includes a short video, featuring Sarah Burton talking about her inspiration for the dress and Kate’s ‘hands-on’ involvement in the design process.

A Princess In Reiss
So the newlyweds are back from their honeymoon and it's time to get back to reality...yeh right...royal reality!
The young royals are back, bronzed and blissful and their first royal appointment was with Obama and the First Lady...and what did our girl choose to don for this special occassion? McQueen? Issa? Chanel? Our girl? Hell no...Kate is a true high street gal at heart and chose to rock a £175 bandage dress in beige by Reiss. Watch this little baby sell out faster than you can say "I want to marry Harry." The shade looked gorgeous against her new tan and K-Mid looked demure, glowing and the epitome of a 21st Century princess.
Welcome back Kate, can't wait to see the next outfit! Enjoy x

The Royal Wedding of the Century!
What an amazing day! What an incredible ceremony. What amazing fashion! I could go on and on for days about the outfits, the guests, the ceremony and the emotion that was so real for such a publicised event. London looked simply amazing, and I feel so proud to be a Londoner - historic, noble and like something out of the pages of story books.
The whole day has been wonderful, from the crowds of fans and well-wishers to the procession of the guests to guessing who will wear what. I had quite a few sniffles, but enough of that, let's get to the most important bit...the fashion!!
What an incredible day for British fashion! All the most prominent members of the Royal family wore designers by British fashion houses. The Prime Minister's wife Sam Cam wore a stunning electric blue Burberry dress, our Queen looked so pretty in a sunshine yellow dress by Angela Kelly, Kate Middleton's mother Carole looked amazing in a streamlined grey/blue coat dress by Catherine Walker, Camilla wore a beautiful champagne silk coat dress by Anna Valentine and Princess Beatrice wore Vivienne Westwood. Kate's sister, her beautiful bridesmaid, wore a simple ivory sheath with a cowl neck by Alexander Mcqueen's Creative Director Sarah Burton. And there were Philip Treacy hats everywhere! That man must have had a few sleepless weeks!!
Let's not forget the boys! Our Prince Wills looked so handsome in his red Irish Guard uniform, adorned with gold, and Harry looked equally dapper in his Blues and Royal uniform. Top form lads! You've done us proud!
But of course, most importantly is our new princess! The debate of who she would wear went on for months. Would it be Alice Temperly, Bruce Oldfield or Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Well, we waited with bated breath as the stunning Catherine stepped elegantly into the car, barely getting a glimpse of delicate lace and a whisper of a veil. It was ivory, that was clear, but it wasn't until she emerged at the Abbey that we were able to get a real view of the Princess.
And she wore Sarah Burton, the Creative Director for Alexander McQueen, one of Britain's most well loved designers, who we tragically lost last year. Kate looked beyond gorgeous, I was so not disappointed! Her make up was natural, gentle and accentuated her beautiful features. Her hair was natural as well, worn half up and half down with gentle curls at the back, and our new princess wore the Queen's halo tiara in her hair, by Cartier. The dress is delicate and intricate. Lace covered her shoulders as gently as a spider's web, and the ivory dress - simple, understated and simply glorious. Grace Kelly-esque in it's elegance, Kate's waist is defined and her train flowed behind her over 2 metres long. In short, our new Princess looked every inch the princess of little girl's dreams. Good choice Kate, I couldn't imagine a more perfect dress.
I'll sign off now, as I want to carry on watching our new Prince and Princess! Ain't it exciting?? Pictures to follow. Enjoy x

The countdown begins!
Now I'm getting excited! Just a few hours (14 and a half to be precise) until good old prince wills marries the lovely Kate Middleton. I'm really not a royalist but I can't wait for this wedding, especially can't wait to see the future princess's dress! In fact, all of the dresses...and flowers...and carriages...and celeb guests...but especially the dress! Isn't that what this day is all about??
Royal wedding blog special coming tomorrow, but in the mean time, enjoy the wedding and here's a pic of the golden couple...enjoy! X

Sainsbury's Has Royal Wedding Fever!!
So the world of Royal Wedding souvenirs is going all out for our Kate and Wills! No doubt in the following weeks we will see the normal teapots, tea towels and commemorative plates, but for now, supermarket giant Sainsburys have released a corker!
Introducing the Kate and William souvenir t-shirt!! How cute!! the t-shirt reads: Kate and William sitting in a tree K.I.S.S.I.N.G fun romantic gesture eh?
To make this top more fashion, I'd buy it in the biggest size they have, rip off the sleeves and rock it with a pair of leggings, denim shorts and some fab Doc Martens or equivalent. Proper British punk rock style combined with a touch of National pride...well why not! Of course, you could buy yourself two, and keep one in pristine condition for your grandkids to look at one day...and you never know, it could wind up on Antiques Roadshow 2050! Enjoy x

What a Fabulous Mousterpiece!!
I love it when three of my great loves: fashion, film and animals, all come together, and I wanted to share something with you that combines (in a weird kinda way) all three.
We've all noted the mad hysteria surrounding the recent engagemet of Prince Wills to Miss Middleton - I've even dedicated one (or three) postings to the couple, and more importantly, what the future princess chooses to wear for press shots. Well, it seems the movie industry has take note too...no, I'm not talking about a Wills and Kate the movie before you get too excited!

Well, it seems the movie industry has take note too...no, I'm not talking about a Wills and Kate the movie before you get too excited!
Inspired by Steve Carrell’s hilarious taxidermist character in daft but brilliant movie Dinner for Schmucks, real-life taxidermist Sean Douglas has created a “Royal Mousterpiece” to coincide with the release of the movie on DVD...natch!
The “Royal Mousterpiece” affectionately captures the engagement announcement in minute detail including Kate’s sapphire and diamond engagement ring...OK, once you get past the creepy red eyes of mousey Wills, you have to admit, the likeness is uncanny! :) In the movie, Carrell gives new life to poor rodents who have tragically lost their little lives, by dressing them lovingly and putting them in idylic scenes...trust me, it's very sweet.
Mousey Kate looks gorgeous in her royal blue number, and that that ring just sparkles off her fur...what can I say, this may not be my regular fashion forward entry, but any take on the royal couple this original needs a mention!
If you want to get your paws (ha) on a copy of Dinner for Schmucks, follow click here. Enjoy! x

Fashion Royalty goes Pop Art!
Just when I thought Kate Middleton couldn't possibly get anymore fashion cred - I am proven wrong by high end society glossy, Tatler.
Not only is the beautiful princess to be the Feb cover girl, but she has been given a fabulous pop art twist. For those familiar with this awesome movement in modern art, you will probably be most familiar with the name Andy Warhol and the image that probably springs to mind is Marylin Monroe, repeated over and over in different vibrant colours. This is exactly how Tatler have treated Miss Middleton, fun and colourful princess montage! Fabulous!
It is a departure in style for the title, which usually shoots major society and celebrity names for its cover, published with an accompanying interview - this feature does not have an interview, but rather has several features about the Royal couple.
This Tatler is sure to be a collectors issue, so make sure you grab yourself a copy to keep for always, it's out now. Enjoy! x

The Princess Wore High Street
How much am I already loving the future Princess?
Here is a girl that has her pick of the fashion world. For her official engagement pics with her betrothed Prince William, she could have worn anything from Dior to Chanel, Lanvin to Burberry, she was after all, shot by legendary fashion photographer and Vogue favourite Mario Testino (jealous, moi??) What did our girl choose to wear? Out with her usual fave Brazillian designer Daniella Issa Helayel and in with British High Street hero's Reiss and Whistles!
Yes, Miss Middleton proved she could be equally as elegant wearing off the rail high street as with one off designer pieces.
In the first of the official pics, she wears a white knee-length belted dress with a draped collar and a curving petal skirt, by Reiss, costing around £175 and the white embroidered "scallop-edge" blouse which she wears in the more intimate photograph of the couple having a little squeeze, is from next season's collection at Whistles and costs £95.
With the way she's going, Kate is well and truly on her way to becoming a role model for British girls everywhere, and I can only hope her style and support for the High Street continues!
Oh, and William looked nice too!
