Primark Autumn Winter 2011 Campaign

Now you all know by now that I loves me a fashion bargain, and Primark has always been my go to place for a fast fashion/easy on the wallet fix. A few months back I posted their campaign for their Spring Summer 2011 collection, and it was colourful, hot and very high fashion. Well, I am now please to announce the arrival of the much anticipated Autumn Winter 2011 campaign video!

Featuring cute 70's inspired looks such as tailored coats, jumpsuits, flairs, satchel bags and mary jane shoes with ankle socks...i love...bow tie detail dresses, cable knit jumpers, ankle skimming trousers and a lot of pouting by the female model.

Personal faves are a cable knit maxi skirt and patent lace up boots and of course, a fabulous dalmatian coat that would turn Cruella De Ville into a faux fur convert!

All in all a lot to look forward to at Primarni over the next few months! Roll on autumn. enjoy x

Versace Designs for H&M!!!

OK, you might want to sit down for this bit of news. There have been rumours going on for a while now, and I am thrilled to say that they are true...Versace are designing a range for high street favourite H&M! This has got to be the most exciting collaboration news since...well...since the collaboration with Lanvin!

The designer collaboration will contain collections for men, women and homewear (is it weird that I am most excited about that??)

“I am thrilled to be collaborating with H&M and to have the opportunity of reaching their wide audience. The collection will be quintessential Versace, perfect for H&M and Versace fans everywhere,” says Donatella Versace.
“Versace is one of the most important brands of recent times, and their collection for H&M will be glamorous and flamboyant – everything Versace stands for. Donatella Versace is sharing with us iconic designs from the archives. This is such a celebratory collaboration and is perfect for the party season,” says Margareta van den Bosch, creative advisor at H&M.
H&M has stated that Donatella Versace will "look back to the archives to reinterpret some classic Versace designs. The womenswear collection will be dominated by dresses that fit right in with the spirit of the season, featuring studded leather and colourful prints, with accessories including high heels and costume jewellery. The men’s collection will focus on sharp tailoring, including the perfect tuxedo, as well as belts and jewellery for men too. For the first time in a designer collaboration at H&M the collection will consist of some homeware pieces, including cushions and a bedspread."
Start forming a queue now as the collection is due to hit stores on 17th November. I know that's a while to wait, but those savvy fashion mavens out there sharpen their elbows when news like this hits. H&M also announced that are planning a pre-spring collection which will be available online from the 19th January.

Art and Fashion Never Looked so Good Together!

This is something I just had to post about. I studied History of Art at uni and I absolutely adore the subject. I love going to galleries and museums and pondering the masterpieces for hours. So, how do I feel when two of my passions (art and fashion) come together? Very bloody happy and excited!!

Imagine my delight when I saw these incredible pictures of re-enactments of famous paintings by still life photographer Peter Lippmann and world renowned shoe genius Christian Louboutin. Each amazing masterpiece has a shiny new addition - a beautiful Louboutin shoe or handbag. The Louboutin shoe is a real thing of beauty and made with such care and such amazing craftmanship, that they really should belong in a museum!

The historic models depicted "embody the spirit of the Christian Louboutin woman; each portrait acts as a setting for key creations from the upcoming collection twinned with the artist who’s individual technique and subject defines their distinct character."

Here's a look at the campaign for the new AW2011 collection. Enjoy x

A Piece of Fashion History up for Grabs! Marylin Monroe's "Subway" Dress!

How would you feel about owning a piece of fashion history? A legendary, iconic dress that is recognisable to practically everyone? Well, now you can.

Stunning Hollywood starlett Marylin Monroe made the knees of men around the world go weak when she posed over a grate wearing a gorgeous white halter-neck dress in The Seven Year Itch, and now, this legend of a dress can be yours...if you're willing to shell out about 2 million dollars.

The pleated halterneck is being auctioned along with other iconic Hollywood film costumes, including Dorothy's red ruby slippers, but this has to be my favourite.

Fancy bidding? Click here to have a go. Good luck and enjoy! x

Emma Watson Smoulders On Her First US Vogue Cover

A big congrats to little Emma Watson, who has bagged her first US Vogue cover!

Photographed by legendary photographer Mario Testino, Miss Watson can be seen in the magazine wearing gorgeous and high fashion attire by the likes of Tom Ford, Alexander McQueen, Prada and Dolce and Gabbana. Her hair is slicked back and her lips a vampy dark red...the girl has come a long way from her bushy haired days of playing Hermoine Granger.

Well done Emma, you're flying the flag for Brits proud...and you look stunning! Enjoy x

Kate Moss Wears Primark For Her Hen Weekend!

Well well, it seems not all celebs deck themselves out in designer finest for the special events in their lives! Kate Moss has just had a hen weekend, at the Isle of Wight festival...as you do, and what did she choose to wear for this important occasion?

The answer is...PRIMARK! Miss Moss was spotted wearing a fab, aztec print poncho from the cheap as chips, fast fashion haven, which looked slightly Diane Von Furstenburg-esque. Who would have thunk it? Flying the flag high for the high street, Kate looked every inch cool and stylish, and for a mere £18, so can you!

I'm pretty sure once this pic hits the weekly mags, this poncho will be a sell-out, so if you want it...act fast! Enjoy x

Jessie J's Glam New Look!

I am a bit of a fan of Jessie J. I've kind of loved every song she has released and think her grunge/punk/funky-chic style is starting to rival that of Lady Gaga (well, almost, she has a little way to go yet!) I love a girl who isn't afraid to experiment with her style and is prepared to try "ugly-pretty" (like in her latest video - twisted mad hatter's tea party get up...love it!)

So, when Jessie stepped out onto the red carpet for last night's Glamour Awards, you can imagine the shock when Miss J looked a bit different to her former self!

She looked demure, sexy and tres chic in a black D&G number. She looked much softer than normal, opting for soft wavy hair, pink lips and false lashes (no Union Jack lips - see below!) she looked retro and ultra feminine.

I'm not sure what I prefer. I love her crazy, eccentric style but this new sultry Jessie is pretty gorgeous too! Oh well, can't we have both? Enjoy x
