It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas...

...A Primark Christmas actually!

I decided to visit the new Primark on Oxford Street the other day to get myself a Christmas jumper...and one for Darren of course.

Once there though and after having a mooch around, I emerged with an armful of gorgeous festive inspired goodies. From socks and underwear to scarves and accessories to jumpers and leggings, there is so much fabulous Chrissy gear that I really had to restrain myself not to go too OTT!

That being said, I still managed to spend about £40...a fortune by Primark standards. I picked up a couple of matching festive jumpers (yes, I do intend to be one of those couples with matching xmas jumpers!) some cosy slipper socks, slippers, a snood and matching mittens and some fair isle print leggings. All ready for it to snow now.

Here are some pics of my haul. Have you been to Primark recently? What do you think of their Festive collection? Enjoy x

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow!

Ooh it is snowing outside, it's cold and blustery, but I love this time of year! The snow is so pretty and makes me want to dress all warm and snuggly!

There is nothing like a bout of snow to make me want to dress like an eskimo, in layers of cosy knits! So, I've been on the H&M website and have been truly inspired by some of their knitted gorgeous bits. I've posted some of my favourite pieces below, so have a looksee and remember, when it's cold and snowing outside, it gives you the perfect excuse to buy some lovely new warm things! Seeing as we've just had pay day, I think you can treat yourself to a piece or two.

Stock up on knits, faux fur and anything cosy and cuddly - enjoy! x

Faux Love

I love the winter! Mostly because of the fashion. I love layering up, I love knitted things and woolly things, I love hats, scarfs and mittens, and most of all, I love faux fur!

This season, the faux is everywhere, from Russian hats at Primark (£3 total bargain) to faux fur mittens at New Look to faux fur stoles at River Island. We can thank Chanel's AW2010 show for the faux overload, and I truly believe with fur, it's better to fake it! I wore an amazing faux gilet the other day and everyone commented on it, they could not believe it was fake, and it was so soft and warm, no one had to know if was £12 from Primark! I've also got a huge collection of Russian and pilot hats, earmuffs and faux trimmed boots, which keep me warm and (I think) looking pretty alright!

Some people are skeptical of the trend, but I urge you to try it out...a gilet, a hat, a scarf, give faux a go! Enjoy x

Animal Magic

I don't know what it is at the moment, but animal magic is in the air! It seems every shop I go into, there are panda bear scarves, raccoon hats, rabbit mittens, cat ears on fur hats, teddy bear heads attached to scarves, and even tiger head hats!

This kitsch craze sprung up last year with the odd one or two pieces, when Katy Perry was spotted wearing the famous panda bear beanie. I immediately brought into this craze, but I would like to point out, I bought my hat before Miss Perry bought hers! (I've already told you I like weird things in previous posts!) but this year, this cute craze has blown up! I'm sure a lot of people will turn around and say it's stupid and childish, but I personally love it! What's wrong with sticking a panda bear hat on with matching mittens when it's cold out? They look cute and fun and show a personality, even if the person wearing it is minus one!

The best places to get yourself some fun and lovable knitwear (teddy bear fashion) is, as always, the high street. River Island have the best selection, with animals ranging from tigers to pandas, raccoons to cats! Topshop has brought into the craze with tiger print furry hats with ears, and Zara has a cute beanie with pom pom ears (maybe better for those slightly afraid of the animal madness?) Enjoy! x
