Katy Perry And Her Grandma!

While the movie eyes of the world are set firmly on Cannes and their fabulous red carpet of decadence, the music world's eyes were set on Las Vegas and the annual Billboard Music Awards.

I don't really want to do another red carpet line up, I just wanted to pay special homage to the gorgeous Katy Perry.

She rocked a totally purple(ish) look, including a shimmering, almost iridescent Blumarine lilac gown, wavy dark purple hair and a deep purple (ha) pout. However, what really turned heads was the songstress's date. Newly single Katy decided to forgo taking a cute guy on her arm, and instead rocked up with her 91 year old grandma, Ann Hudson! Bless! Grandma looked just as fabulous with her sequined ballet pumps and a crystal encrusted cane...bling on.

Ahead of the star-studded bash, Katy wrote on Twitter: 'My date to tonight’s Billboard Music Awards is hotter than the Las Vegas weather. SMOKIN’!'

I have fallen even more in love with Miss Perry now. What do you think of her red carpet look? Enjoy x

Katy Perry Models for GHD's Latest Campaign!

Well hello Katy Perry! I know you're a bit of a sex pot and I do love your music and wacky style...and it appears those creative types at hair straightener brand GHD do too!! Check out these amazing shots from the latest GHD campaign featuring the California Girl, (who has been named as their new face) looking uber hot and funky.

Miss Perry was styled by Johnny Wujek and photographed by one of my favourite fashion photographers of all time, David La Chapelle (renowned for his quirky and slightly avant garde shoots).

Her hair, make-up, wardrobe and the layouts are all just amazing, and definitely GHD's strongest campaign yet! Enjoy x

Animal Magic

I don't know what it is at the moment, but animal magic is in the air! It seems every shop I go into, there are panda bear scarves, raccoon hats, rabbit mittens, cat ears on fur hats, teddy bear heads attached to scarves, and even tiger head hats!

This kitsch craze sprung up last year with the odd one or two pieces, when Katy Perry was spotted wearing the famous panda bear beanie. I immediately brought into this craze, but I would like to point out, I bought my hat before Miss Perry bought hers! (I've already told you I like weird things in previous posts!) but this year, this cute craze has blown up! I'm sure a lot of people will turn around and say it's stupid and childish, but I personally love it! What's wrong with sticking a panda bear hat on with matching mittens when it's cold out? They look cute and fun and show a personality, even if the person wearing it is minus one!

The best places to get yourself some fun and lovable knitwear (teddy bear fashion) is, as always, the high street. River Island have the best selection, with animals ranging from tigers to pandas, raccoons to cats! Topshop has brought into the craze with tiger print furry hats with ears, and Zara has a cute beanie with pom pom ears (maybe better for those slightly afraid of the animal madness?) Enjoy! x
