Primark's AW13 Collection

I've said it once (ok, maybe a hundred times) and I'll say it again...I LOVE autumn/winter fashion! After a long hot - at times scorching - summer, I am so ready for some layers, knitwear, boots and scarves.

One high street store I'm always waiting with breath that is bated to see, is Primark. Their collections are always so exciting and I think they excel with autumn and winter styles.

When I was browsing on Look today, I came across a link to view Primark's AW13 collection and I eagerly clicked away. We've got a lot to look forward to! Amazing accessories, fabulous oversized coats and a nod to all of the key AW13 trends.

Want to see my picks? Here you go! Enjoy x

The Return of the Gaga!

Oh I do love a September cover...and I do love a fierce celeb comeback...combine the two and you get this amazing cover of V Magazine featuring none other than Lady Gaga, looking almost unrecognisable.

Showcasing a stunning natural look, dark shaggy tresses, a cropped sequin blazer and a killer midriff, Gaga looks hot, stylish and totally refreshing.

Rock chic at its best, there will be four covers to choose from featuring Queen Gaga, this is the first to be released and I can't wait to see what the other three will look like. Oh and P.S. she is totally starkers in the photoshoot! Gotta love a comeback...

What do you think of Gaga's new look and this fierce cover? Enjoy x

Skin Care Haul

Well I have been a bit naughty over the last week. I've spent a little bit of money on a few skin care goodies, which I have had my eyes on for ages.

A couple of these are cult skin care must haves, which, bloggers in particular, deem as Holy Grail products and I felt it was about time I tried them out for myself...the hype was worth buying into.

The first beauty product I picked up was last weekend from the gorgeous Pixi boutique in Carnaby Street, where I walked straight in and asked for a bottle of Glow Tonic, and made sure I left before I could spend any more money...a tricky thing to do let me tell you! I did grab a couple of samples of their new primer, which after trying, is now on my birthday list. Anyway, back to the Glow Tonic. Yes this is fabulous. Pixi Glow Tonic is a an alcohol and oil free astringent toner, it contains aloe and witch hazel to smooth and tone the skin and glycolic acid to loosen the dead skin and exfoliate. The glow tonic claims to "firm and tighten the skin, remove dead skin cells and is for dry, dull and ageing skin"
OK, so I've been using it for a week and I'm already in love. At £16 for 250mls this is a bit of a treat, but you only need a couple of pumps on a cotton wool pad so it will last ages. I use it in the morning and in the evening after cleansing. My skin looks so much brighter and it feels so soft. It feels so hydrating and the witch hazel helps to eliminate blemishes.

Worth the hype? Yes I think so! The only issue is you can't get this online so you need to pick it up in store or order by mail order.

Next up is a definite cult product - Bioderma. Pretty much only available in France, this super popular cleanser is now available at limited stockists in London, yay! Bioderma's famous micellar water cleanser is both thorough and gentle, making it perfect for those with sensitive skin. The range is developed with significant input from dermatologists and renowned research centres and was initially intended for medical prescription. Which explains why it it is so amazing. Again, I use this every morning and evening. It removes make up like a dream and leaves my skin feeling silky soft, totally clean and looking great. I got my hubby to pick me up a bottle from John Bell and Croyden on Wigmore Street and I love it. Again, it's not cheap (£14 for a 250ml bottle) but yes, it is worth the hype (and the schlep to pick it up)!

Finally I picked up a tin of Steam Cream yesterday at none other than Tesco! The Tesco Extra in Watford has just had a massive make over and now has an incredible beauty section. I had a quick look today and my eyes immediately fell upon the display of limited edition Steam Cream. I had to do a double take because I love Steam Cream and I couldn't believe they are now sold at Tesco. Yes darling I'm just doing the weekly shop...and picking up a beauty treat for myself too...well, it is next to the cereal aisle! If you've never used Steam Cream before, it is freshly handmade in the UK and Japan with natural ingredients, which have been infused with a shot of steam, which makes it super hydrating and perfect for sensitive skin. If you haven't tried it, give it a go, you won't regret it. For £12.95 you get a gorgeously decorated tin and quite a bit of product so it is well worth it.

So those are my new goodies. Have you tried out any of these out? What are your favourite skin care treats at the moment? Enjoy x

Beyonce Goes Pixie!

Is there a look Beyonce can't pull off?!

Yes another day and another post about Beyonce...sorry about that!

My pop idol posted pics of herself on Instagram this morning sporting a stunning new hair do...Queen Bey has gone pixie.

Proving she doesn't need her trademark mane of golden locks to look fierce, this gamine new do makes Beyonce look chic and sophisticated, with a nod to old school Hollywood glamour.

Posting images of herself showing her new do from all angles, this new look has sparked comparisons with Rihanna's signature crop, but in this flattering honey blonde shade and worn slightly softer than RiRi, this is a look purely of her own.

Now, I'm planning on cropping my hair in the next month and I just want to put it out there that I was planning on doing it for ages and it's not just copying Bey...although she proves going short is fabulous.

What do you  think of Beyonce's new look? Are you a fan? Enjoy x

Hello Kitty!

So I have talked about my small obsession with Australian PJ designer Peter Alexander here and here. Ever since I discovered its existence in the land of Oz when I went travelling in my gap year with Darren, I have become a UK ambassador for the brand...not officially mind you...just...you know...going on about the brand to whoever would listen!

Well, I just wanted to do a quick post about Peter Alexander's latest collection, which features one of my all time favourite characters, Hello Kitty. Yep, the adorable Sanrio cat is the face of the new collection, aimed at both women and little girls.

It's so cute that I am very tempted to place a bulk order...from oversized tees to gorgeous PJ bottoms, sexy little nighties to shorts and sweet knickers to must have slippers, this collection has got to be one of my favourites from this quirky Australian brand.

The only downside...the store is only in Oz...why, why can't they come to London?! So if you fancy treating yourself to the best PJ's on the planet, I'm afraid you'll have to submit to the pricey overseas delivery...but trust me, it is worth it.

I wanted to share a few pics from the campaign with you. What do you think of this collection? Will you be rushing to place your order? Enjoy x

A Tea Towel Fit For A Prince

With all the hype about the new Prince, and all the tacky memorabilia, which is sure to follow...crappy mug? Tacky figurine? Old fashioned thimble anyone? It's nice to see one of the UK's most tongue in cheek designer labels, create something fun and stylish to celebrate.

House of Holland, the label synonymous with catchy and kooky slogans has created a classic tea towel to celebrate Prince George's birth. But this is no ordinary tea towel...it comes complete with George's very own interpersonal House of Holland slogan...

...OMG HE'S GORGE OUR NEW PRINCE GEORGE the tea towel screams out, in bold lettering with Union Jack design filler.

I love this. The perfect way to celebrate the new Prince, son of a very stylish yummy mummy and from one of the UK's own fashion houses. Well done House of Holland. The award for best souvenir keepsake goes to you!

Available to purchase here for £25. What do you make of this funky tea towel? Enjoy x

Everything's Peachy

A few weeks ago, I had a very special couple of visitors, my oldest friends, the gorgeous twins Rocsana and Negar. They moved to LA back when we were about 14 years old, and as we've been the best of friends since we were 6, we've managed to stay in touch and remain as close if not even closer over the years. They swung by London town to meet their honorary nephew, Elijah!

They are the most generous girls imaginable, and as well as bringing Eli a whole heap of gorgeous new clothes, I had asked if they would pick up a candle from Bath and Bodyworks, a shop we used to have here, but alas, no more, which I had heard a lot of good things about. Well, being the super generous gals that they are, they bought 4 of the candles for me!! I am a huge scented candle fan, I always have one or two burning in the house and I couldn't wait to add this to my collection.

They smell utterly divine. A beautiful blend of peaches and cream, which makes the whole house smell delectable...kind of like you have a peach pie baking in the oven. People enter the house and immediately start sniffing the air and asking, "what's cooking?"

Now, sadly you can't get this candle in the UK (sniff sniff) but luckily I have 4 to keep me going. All I can say is if you have friends or family in the States, get they to pick one of these up for you. You'll fall in love with the delicious sweet smell and want to have it burning 24/7!

Are you a fan of scented candles? Which ones are your favourites? Enjoy x
