My First Video Blog!

Hi there!

It is my last day on holiday (sad face) so I thought I would mark the occasion by doing my first ever video blog!

Video blogs seem to be getting more and more popular, so I have set up a youtube channel, which can be viewed here, and if they get good responses, I'll mix up my normal blog by doing a few videos every now and then.

I thought I would do my first one on my holiday essentials. I'm sorry that it is a bit long and that the volume/sound is terrible, I'm doing it on my laptop so for now I'm afraid it'll have to do. I'll also try and make them shorter in the future, I was just very excited and got carried away, seeing as this is my first attempt.

Below is an image of all of my essentials together and below that is the video. I hope you enjoy X

My Holiday Essential

Hello!

Just a quick post today as we're about to head off to a place called Cvavtat...I think that's how you spell it, to see a bit more of Croatia.

Before we went away, I wanted to buy a new body lotion/body moisturiser product, and I had heard some really good things about Nivea's Q10 Body Lotion. I hunted for it and couldn't find the lotion anywhere, but I did find the Q10 Body Firming Oil, so I decided to give that a whirl...and I'm so glad I did!

I have been using this oil every morning and evening, and it has already made such a difference to my skin after only a week. Here's the stuff they say about it: It contains avocado oil and Q10, it improves the skins appearance, it's an intensive moisturiser, it helps reduce the appearance of stretch marks and it firms the skin, in two weeks.

Normally, I don't pay attention to all the stuff on the back, but I have been really impressed with this. My skin feels so soft and smooth and it is brilliant for putting on after a day in the sun. I love the silky feeling it gives my skin and I do think it has helped smooth and firm everything up! Bonus! The only downside is, as it is an oil, it leaves the bottle all oily and slippery and you have to be careful not to get it on your clothes.

I thoroughly recommend this product, whether you're on holiday or at home, and I know I'll be sticking with it. Have you tried Q10? What do you think about it? Enjoy x

P.S. Don't you love the backdrop?? Better than my usual bedroom shots :)

Beyonce at the Met - Fashion Faux Pas or Fashion Fabulous

I know I only posted about Lana Del Rey at the Met Gala this morning, but I've been checking out a few more of my favourite looks on the red carpet, and couldn't help but notice all of the tweets, blog posts and website goss about a certain lady's red carpet look - my idol, Beyonce.

I don't take kindly to people saying bad things about this woman - I've loved her since way back in the day when she was in Destiny's Child, and my cousin Lucie and I used to learn her dance moves in her her front room. Having just been voted the world's most beautiful woman by People magazine, and popping out a gorgeous little girl, the Met Gala was Beyonce's first really big red carpet moment for a long time.

If you haven't already seen what she wore...here you go!

First of all, flawless skin, gorgeous make-up, chic and sophisticated pony tail, and an eye-catching, breath taking gown from Givenchy Haute Couture. The sheer gown had an amazing jewel and sequin applique, a beautiful curve hugging fit, which showed off her amazing post baby figure and it was topped off with a wild black and purple feather train!

Yes it's a bit OTT, yes it might not have been the most obvious choice, but who cares? This is Beyonce, world's most beautiful woman and quite frankly, she could have worn a black bin liner or a dress made of Tesco carrier bags and she still would have rocked that red carpet!

You go Beyonce, you do no wrong in my eyes ;o)

Full line up of my favourite best dressed coming up tomorrow. Enjoy x

amazing post baby bod!

yeh my dress comes with its own servant....what?

Lana Del Rey Sparkles on the Red Carpet

Just had to do a quick post after I saw the pictures from last night's Met Gala.

The most fashionable red carpet of the year proved to be just as stylish this year. The stars all shimmered and sparkled and I couldn't help giving a shout out to the stunning Lana Del Rey.

I've gushed about my new girl crush before, and I have the say, the crushing continues. Not only has this girl got a voice and style to die for, but she looked like a fashion superhero last night - seriously, with a cape and everything!

Lana wore a spectacular sparkling, floor length Aluzarra strapless dress, with a floor length, black, semi sheer cape. She completed her look with darker than usual wavy locks, a deep plum pout and vampy red nails. I love!

What do you think of Lana Del Rey's red carpet look? Enjoy x

New Purchase!

Hello from gorgeous Dubrovnik!

I hope everyone is enjoying the bank holiday back home (or if you don't have a bank holiday today...I hope you're having a nice Monday.)

I've just got back from the most amazing hot stone massage and have a mins spare with the laptop, before we head off to enjoy the sunset, so I just wanted to show you a little something I bought for myself yesterday.

I'm not talking about the pearl bracelet (that was given to me by my sister in law on her and my brother's wedding day, and I haven't taken it off since.) I picked up for myself the gorgeous silver Star of David on a pretty purple bracelet. We visited the tiny, old and extremely beautiful Synagogue in Dubrovnik's Old Town yesterday - we always try and visit Jewish Quarters, museums and Synagogues whenever we visit a new country - and they were selling some stunning things. We picked up a couple of bits for our home and as we were paying, I spotted this pretty bracelet. They had them in several colours, but I loved the way the purple looked with the silver Star of David. I only wear my religious symbol occasionally, on a necklace, as I wear a different necklace everyday, but I hardly ever wear bracelets, so I don't think I'll be taking this off for a long time. The star is Silver and handmade and I love the way it looks with the pearls.

So there you are, just a quick post about a quick purchase :)

Enjoy X

Duty Free Purchase

Hello from a very sunny, hot and beautiful Croatia!

We arrived in this stunning country Wednesday lunchtime, and immediately fell in love with Dubrovnik. I won't go into to much, as I want to do a photo blog when I get home, but wow...it's amazing!

I just wanted to share with you my little duty free purchase. Now I think this must have been the first time I ever really took advantage of duty free. I decided before I left that I needed to buy myself a new perfume. I am running very low on my two favourites, Rose by Paul Smith and Daisy by Marc Jacobs, and wanted to try out a new fragrance. I had a quick look around the duty free at Gatwick, and spotted a some amazing deals. After spritzing for a few minutes, I decided to take a chance on Lovely by Sarah Jessica Parker. I was bought the body lotion a couple of years ago and fell in love with the smell. Lavender, orchid and amber mingle with apple martini, paper whites and musk, and it creates a truly gorgeous smell.

So, after spotting it had an amazing 40% off - £23 for 100ml, I had to have it! I'm not one for impulse buys, but as I was paying for my perfume, the lady behind the till showed me a little gizmo which is like an atomiser. You can fill it with your favourite perfume, and it's super handy handbag size makes it perfect for carrying around with you, whenever you need a fragrance top up. It cost £7 but I thought it was so cool, I had to have that too!

Here are my purchases. What do you think of Lovely? Have you ever bought a celeb fragrance? Enjoy x

simply remove the cap and pump the fragrance in! amazing!

Oh and just to give you a little taste as to where I am, here's a pic of my on our balcony, over looking the ocean enjoying a glass of complimentary bubbly! Lovely :o) X

We're All Going on a Summer Holiday!

Yay!

The time has finally come, I am off on my holiday! Tomorrow morning at some horribly early hour, we will be jetting off to the beautiful shores of Croatia. I am very excited to be getting out of London and this weird weather for a few days.

Today, I have been packing like mad, obviously packing too much and just trying to get things organised.

One thing I always struggle with when I go on holiday, is which colour to paint my nails (trivial I know!) I like to have just one colour per holiday, so the choice of which one to go for is always tricky, especially as I seem to buy a new colour every week at the moment.

So, I lined up my choices to choose from; 42 down to 7 is a big deal I think :o) Below are my options:

This is Rainbow in the S-Kylie from the Kardashian Kolor range from O.P.I. It's made up of loads of tiny, multi coloured pieces of glitter, and when you layer it on in about 3 coats, you get an amazing kaleidoscope effect. It also looks gorgeous worn as a top coat over another colour.

This is Indian Ocean from the Beetlejuice range from Models Own. It's a gorgeous shimmering blue with hints of lilac, which looks stunning worn alone (you have to apply at least two coats) or over a blue or lilac shade.

My favourite of the moment, Hedonist from the Hed Kandi range from Models Own. An amazing neon orange which practically glows in the dark! Love it!

This bright little number is Beach Party from the Hed Kandi range from Models Own. It's a super bright pastel orange, which is so pretty. This is a definite contender!

One of my new purchases from last week - Pool Party from Topshop. This is my first Topshop nail varnish and I wore it last week and loved it. It's a stunning bluey green and everyone commented on it.

I love pastel brights for summer. This gorgeous colour is from Bourjois, and it's got a great anti chip formula, which lasts about a week (they say 10 days, but it really was more like a week). It's a creamy pastel coral.

The final choice is a sentimental one. Backstage Pass by Duri. I wore this beautiful soft lilac on my wedding day and on my honeymoon. It lasts ages and looks so stunning.

So, after mulling it over...I decided to go with...

Hedonist by Models Own. This is the perfect holiday colour. It's bright, eye-catching, goes with pretty much all of my outfits and it looks fab with a tan (albeit mine is a spray on!)

I will try and do a blog or two while we're away, but I have no idea what we'll be doing at the moment, we're playing this holiday a bit by ear. So, if I don't get the chance to blog, see you in 11 days!

Lots of love x
