Celine's Furry Shoes...Yay or Nay?

So if there is one shocker to take away from SS13's runways, it has to be Celine's...ahem..."furry" shoes, seen this weekend in Paris.

As soon as I spotted these cuddly looking shoes, I knew that they would get the whole fashion world buzzing, and buzzing it is!

The utterly elegant collection went down the runway with these furry footsie warmers topping them off, and it was clear that all eyes were firmly on them.

Fashionista's on twitter were talking about the "muppet" inspired shoes, comparing them to Elmo, Big Bird and other member's of the Muppet family.

Although I appreciated the fun and unique twist on an otherwise sophisticated and minimalist collection, I really hate it when designer's resort to fur to make a style statement, especially when faux fur is so popular and easily compared to the real deal. I do love the idea of fun, furry footwear, but let's hope if the high street do pick up on this quirky trend, that they will be of the faux persuasion!

What do you think of Celine's furry shoes? Are they a yay or nay for you? Enjoy x

British Fashion Awards

The British Fashion Awards 2010 took place on the 7th December at the Savoy Hotel, where 12 leading fashion figures took home the nights prizes. Amongst the winners were Celine creative director Phoebe Philo who won Designer of the Year, Nicholas Kirkwood who won Accessory Designer award, people's choice Alexa Chung won herself an award (sporting a lovely cropped hair do - looking slightly less messy than normal!) Lara Stone won model of the year and Mulberry won designer brand.

Enough about the awards, I know what's most interesting to you lot, who wore what, who looked the best and what can us common folk hope for High Street copies. I've put a load of pics of my favourite looks of the night, there are some gorgeous dresses going on and some fab styling. Get inspired - and maybe get some ideas for the party season! Enjoy x
