Girl Crush - Whitney Port

I am not ashamed to admit that I watched and looooooved The Hills. I found it such fun TV to watch, and while everyone fell in love with Lauren Conrad, I was smitten straight away with Whitney Port. She came across immediately as genuine, kind and just really watchable - I so wanted to be her friend!

Even as the series went on and she became a bigger and bigger part of the show, she still remained exactly the same as episode one. When she got an even bigger break and landed her own show, The City, she remained true to who she was, and I fell even more in love!

Now, Whitney Port is not only a bonafide reality star, she is also a fashion designer with her own label, and, she is now the new judge on Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model. Again, not ashamed to admit that I am a fan of the Next Top Model series, but the British version always seemed to lack the glossy edge of its American cousin, but now, with Whitney on the judging panel, Britain and Ireland's Next Top Model is set to be huge!

I watched the first episode last night, and, along with other new judge Tyson Beckford (yummy), Whitney came across as knowledgeable, super stylish and confident, without being arrogant.

Now, Whitney has got an amazing spread in the August issue of Cosmopolitan, where she looks every inch the amazing star that she is.

What do you think of Whitney Port? Are you a fan of the reality slash fashion star? Enjoy x

The Fabulous Factor!

I’m not going to get started on what happened on last night’s X Factor results (how is that drama queen still in, HOW??) I am instead going to rave about the styling transformation that has taken place on this year’s show! It’s amazing what a difference a new Fashion Director can make, and with the incredible talent that is Grace Woodward, it’s no wonder the contestants look like they’ve stepped off of a high-end magazine shoot!

For those unaware, Grace Woodward is kind of a big deal (and the woman I aspire to be!) She is a stylist, writer and creative director, has won Stylist of the Year, has an amazing celeb clientele, is a judge on Britain’s Next Top Model and has styled shoots for publications including Harpers Bazaar, Sunday Times Style, Elle, Tank and Nylon, and now this member of fashion royalty is waving her magical styling wand all over the X Factor contestants.

Because of Woodward, the girly finalists look cool, polished, edgy and impossibly fashionable and directional, and the guys (maybe Wagner excluded) look stylish, funky and individual. For once, Haute Couture is blended with High Street in an impeccable manner, and the result is fashion fabulousness! Have a gander at the below pics and fingers crossed they keep Grace on at X Factor HQ next year…and every year after! Enjoy x
