Olivia Palermo's Blog is now Live!

So it has been the fave bit of gossip for fashion folks over the past few months - rumours that style maven and girl you love to hate, Olivia Palermo was going to launch her own fashion blog.

Well, the time has come and Miss Palermo's blog is now live! The blog lists sixteen members of staff on the mast head...erm...so, it's actually more of a website/online mag then?! I thought the point of blogs was the blogger's opinions and thoughts, and theirs alone...oh well. At least the girl's being honest I guess!!

The blog is simply titled, Olivia Palermo...natch...and has 5 catagories; fashion, accessories, lifestyle, travel and tips. This is Miss Paleremo's welcome entry...and I note that this is the only entry she has supposedly done so far:

"This past July I returned stateside from the Paris collections – and a mini-vacation – to see my girlfriends peppering me with questions as to where fashion is moving towards next. They want the inside track, which I, of course, could not possibly provide. They also wanted to see all of my hidden treasures and finds that I sourced during my jaunt. It’s curious to me as none of them are in fashion, but the fascination with the industry comes from their love of clothes, accessories and beauty.

Providing a forum to express my fashion inspirations from across the globe, it is my goal to show that style is international. In the coming weeks, you will read about my trips to Paris and London, seeing how the locals live, shop and dress. Each country has a distinct pulse on fashion, which I hope you will enjoy.
Also in the coming weeks are some amazing contributors who will be adding their views. I want to take this time to give a special thank-you to everyone on my team. Focusing on the details, my editorial staff will take you on the task of turning jeans and a tee into a red-carpet worthy look on a daily basis. In this digital age where information – and fashion – moves faster each season, I hope that you will continue on this journey with me."

Oh well, no matter how much she contributes, doesn't contribute, I'm sure I'll be an avid reader anyway, so fickle am I!!But what do you think? Will you be reading? Enjoy x

Ashish and Jaeger SS12 Shows

I just wanted to drop a post on a couple of my favourite collections so far from London Fashion Week for SS12. I'm not normally that excited about the spring/summer collections, because I am so majorly obsessed with autumn/winter collections. I prefer the designs, materials, trends blah blah blah...but a couple of SS12 collections so far have really caught my eye and are making me crave my next summer holiday already!

First up is Jaeger, where the girly side of me squealed in delight! Broderie Anglaise was everywhere - cut-out details, embroidery and doily like patterns, sheer fabrics and soft feminine colours...sigh...just gorgeous! I envision Princess Kate buying out the whole collection! Front row spots included Pixie Lott, Brix Start and Olivia Palermo...nice!

Second, is favourite for the more fashion adventurous, Ashish. This collection took florals to a whole other level!! Bright, graphic and bold floral prints on dresses, shirts, blazers and skirts...and even bunches of flowers on chunky black biker boots. Mixing the girly with the masculine is always a favourite look of mine. I love this collection and will definitely be using is as my SS12 inspiration - I just hope the high street pick up on it! Enjoy x

Olivia Palermo Graces the Cover of Elle Mexico April 2011

OK, I am not normally the gushing type over celebs, but when I saw the front cover of Elle Mexico for April, I had to have a little gushing moment. Love her, hate her star of the City, former PR bitch, "Fashion Editor", designer and soon to be star of her own show Olivia Palermo looks drop dead stunning on the cover and in the editorial. Although not a model, this girl obviously studies fashion mags with a passion, as she poses like a seasoned high fashion model. Wearing couture and fabulous dresses from designers such as Ellie Saab, Salvatore Ferragamo, D&G and Emilo Pucci (lucky cow), Miss Palermo looks from top to toe the epitome of high fashion royalty. You may come across as a bit of an odd ball on TV Miss Palermo, but you look fierce in this editorial! Enjoy x

Wind in the hair moment!

Mawi Please!!

If you are a regular reader of this blog, you would know by now that I have a thing for statement jewellery. OK, I'm more obsessed. If it's big, chunky, gold and adorned with weird and wacky embellishments, then I'm in heaven.

Once upon a time I was a humble little fashion intern at Elle magazine, and it was there that I was introduced to my favourite jewellery brand of all time. I remember trying on a ring that looked like an animal door knocker, a real knuckle duster, and an incredible massive gold chain with a huge round green jewel incased in a gold claw. A fellow intern grimaced at the pieces, herself preferring a simple chain and earrings, but I was in love. If you haven't heard of Mawi, please visit the website now! Celeb fans include fashion queenie and meanie Olivia Palermo and the fierce Rihanna.

I was lucky enough to be given one of the amazing leopard door knocker rings at one of my jobs, and now I covet the rest of the collections! Be warned, these pieces are not for the faint hearted - only wear if you have a spirit as fierce as Queen Beyonce! I've put a few images below. Enjoy! x

New Year, New Celeb Fashion Line!

Well now, Happy New Year! 2011 is now firmly upon us, I hope you all had an amazing new year's eve, however you chose to spend it, and that 2011 will be full of love, happiness and success for all of us (this is going to be a special year!) After an emotionally fuelled xmas and new year period - I am back with my finger once again firmly on the fashion button.

I wanted to share with you a feature I wrote for Pulse magazine, check out the link here: http://www.totallyjewish.com/pulse/view/c-15440/pulse-issue-pulse-magazine-17/ I'm going to be attempting to get a few more of these under my belt, so watch this space for the links.

Anyway, enough about me, onto the title of this post. I'm a huge fan (not even a guilty pleasure in my books) of the Hills, and even more so of the brilliant spin off, the City. Whitney Port's style and fashion line Whitney Eve is fab, and I do love her sweet and approachable persona, but, the villain of the show, Olivia Palermo, takes the cake with her fashion sense. The girl has got some wicked style, amazingly swishy hair and a wardrobe I would kill for...of course this viscious fashionista just managed to wrangle an Accessories Editor role at Elle (didn't you know how easy that was??) in the second season, after a brief stint as PR bitch at Diane Von Furstenburg.

So what next for the girl we love to hate? Well, her own spin off reality show and a clothing line of course! Yes, Miss Palermo has announced in her interview in Spain's January 2011 Vogue, that she will be the star of her own reality TV show where the cameras will focus on following her and her perfect bone structure around as she "designs" and "creates" her own designer line. This really is a concept that has never been done before....oh...apart from Whitney Port...and Lauren Conrad, star of the Hills, who is going to be launching her own show and clothing line...hmm...so, all you need to do is move to Hollywood, get onto a reality TV show and BOOM - dream job at top glossy magazine and own clothing line. Easy, I'm there! Well, as much as I sarcastically comment on her, I am looking forward to seeing what Palermo comes up with, and adding another MTV reality show to my Sky+ box...may the fiance forgive me.

I'll be sure to post the pics and comments when the show finally hits our airwaves, in the mean time, would love to hear your thoughts. X
