The Royal Wedding of the Century!

What an amazing day! What an incredible ceremony. What amazing fashion! I could go on and on for days about the outfits, the guests, the ceremony and the emotion that was so real for such a publicised event. London looked simply amazing, and I feel so proud to be a Londoner - historic, noble and like something out of the pages of story books.

The whole day has been wonderful, from the crowds of fans and well-wishers to the procession of the guests to guessing who will wear what. I had quite a few sniffles, but enough of that, let's get to the most important bit...the fashion!!

What an incredible day for British fashion! All the most prominent members of the Royal family wore designers by British fashion houses. The Prime Minister's wife Sam Cam wore a stunning electric blue Burberry dress, our Queen looked so pretty in a sunshine yellow dress by Angela Kelly, Kate Middleton's mother Carole looked amazing in a streamlined grey/blue coat dress by Catherine Walker, Camilla wore a beautiful champagne silk coat dress by Anna Valentine and Princess Beatrice wore Vivienne Westwood. Kate's sister, her beautiful bridesmaid, wore a simple ivory sheath with a cowl neck by Alexander Mcqueen's Creative Director Sarah Burton. And there were Philip Treacy hats everywhere! That man must have had a few sleepless weeks!!

Let's not forget the boys! Our Prince Wills looked so handsome in his red Irish Guard uniform, adorned with gold, and Harry looked equally dapper in his Blues and Royal uniform. Top form lads! You've done us proud!

But of course, most importantly is our new princess! The debate of who she would wear went on for months. Would it be Alice Temperly, Bruce Oldfield or Sarah Burton for Alexander McQueen. Well, we waited with bated breath as the stunning Catherine stepped elegantly into the car, barely getting a glimpse of delicate lace and a whisper of a veil. It was ivory, that was clear, but it wasn't until she emerged at the Abbey that we were able to get a real view of the Princess.

And she wore Sarah Burton, the Creative Director for Alexander McQueen, one of Britain's most well loved designers, who we tragically lost last year. Kate looked beyond gorgeous, I was so not disappointed! Her make up was natural, gentle and accentuated her beautiful features. Her hair was natural as well, worn half up and half down with gentle curls at the back, and our new princess wore the Queen's halo tiara in her hair, by Cartier. The dress is delicate and intricate. Lace covered her shoulders as gently as a spider's web, and the ivory dress - simple, understated and simply glorious. Grace Kelly-esque in it's elegance, Kate's waist is defined and her train flowed behind her over 2 metres long. In short, our new Princess looked every inch the princess of little girl's dreams. Good choice Kate, I couldn't imagine a more perfect dress.

I'll sign off now, as I want to carry on watching our new Prince and Princess! Ain't it exciting?? Pictures to follow. Enjoy x

The countdown begins!

Now I'm getting excited! Just a few hours (14 and a half to be precise) until good old prince wills marries the lovely Kate Middleton. I'm really not a royalist but I can't wait for this wedding, especially can't wait to see the future princess's dress! In fact, all of the dresses...and flowers...and carriages...and celeb guests...but especially the dress! Isn't that what this day is all about??

Royal wedding blog special coming tomorrow, but in the mean time, enjoy the wedding and here's a pic of the golden couple...enjoy! X

Scarlett Johansson Looks Smoking Hot in Mango's High Summer Collection!

OK, I'm jealous. Scarlett Johansson is always described as one of those "real looking" celebs, but puh-lease!! Check her out in this sneak peak of Mango's high summer collection. The girl is far beyond real looking, she is drop dead gorgeous! radiant skin, killer body and highly sexy pout and slicked back hair (I'm going to be investing in some hair gel asap!!)

The high summer collection is inspired by the 1970's (is there any other decade to be caught dead in this summer?!) and is a collection of acid hot brights and sleek and simple silhouettes as well as a smattering of cute polka dots - very riveria chic.

Check out the Mango collection here, and as for getting Miss Johansson's hot bod...well...anyone fancy the gym tonight?! Enjoy x

Warehouse's SS11 Collection Instore Now!

So I managed to partake in a little retail therapy yesterday, especially necessary seeing as I have a multitude of weddings, engagements and other events this summer to attend, and I stumbled into Warehouse - not a store I normally shop in.

I have to say, I was very pleasantly surprised! Their summer collection is hot, hot, hot! I am in love with the 70's maxi dress trend at the moment, and love all of the chiffon frills and details that accompany this trend, and Warehouse had the most gorgeous collection to satisfy my obsession! Beautiful silk maxis adorned with tribal prints and floral prints, midi length chiffon pieces nipped in at the waist and gorgeous camel and caramel hues all begging to be worn!

This really is the perfect collection to compliment my favourite trends for the SS11 season. I've put a few of my favourite pieces below. Enjoy x

My personal favourite! This will be in my wardrobe!!

Primarks SS11 Campaign

Um hello! How amazing is Primark's SS11 video campaign? I felt like I was watching a Prada...well...maybe not Prada, but at least a Marc Jacobs or Ralph Lauren campaign vid.

The guy and gal model look uber high fashion, chic and just the right amount of beautiful model bored. I love this collection, and it's clear to see that Primark have truly drawn inspiration from some of the best collections from the SS11 catwalks, including Stella McCartney, Marc Jacobs, Pucci and Jill Sander.

Definite favourites include the horizontal stiped maxi dress, peasant girl dress and paisley print kaftan maxi...and the boys stuff ain't bad either. Little slim fit sailor t-shirts, boat shoes and candy stripe shorts...it's a collection worthy of the most fashionable guys in Shoreditch! Have a gander and get down to Primark ASAP before all the best bits go...you know they will! Enjoy x

Nigella Lawson Commits Serious Crime Against Fashion!

Oh Nigella...you may be the queen of the kitchen, the Domestic Goddess and drive men wild with your sexual innuendos...but a trend setter on the beach you ain't!

This picture was taken of Nigella on Bondi Beach, whilst vacationing in Australia. Now tell me this people, would you, no matter what body type you have, be seen in public in this?! A "Burk-ini" might be suitable for devout Muslim ladies to be seen on the beach in, but Nigella...you are not a devout Muslim and this just looks wrong! Supposedly she wore the burkini to protect her skin from the sun, but my love, that's what sun block and umbrellas are for (trust me, that's how I rock it on the beach).

Nigella, you are a gorgeous curvy chick and look fab when you work those curves. Do us all a favour and go back to the Nigella we love and please...NO MORE STYLE EXPERIMENTS!!!

Check out these amazing shots from the latest GHD campaign featuring the California Girl, (who has been named as their new face) looking uber hot and funky.

Lady Gaga Rocks the Cover of US Harper's Bazaar May Issue!

OK, I know I just raved about a magazine cover a couple of posts ago, but I've just seen the cover and editorial spread for the US Harper's Bazaar May issue...and the obsession continues! This time it is the fierce and fabulous Lady Gaga rocking the cover!

This Lady is in hot demand, after already being on the cover of US Vogue's March issue, the Harper's cover sees a slightly more demure Gaga, working a black Versace number and some very sharp cheekbones!

The editorial spread is completely stunning - Gaga looks a-may-zing in all black, Gothic style ensembles, and combine that with her bubble gum pink hair, you have a glorious mixture of Morticia from the Addams Family meets Strawberry Shortcake! Love!

With designers such as Tex Saverio and Thierry Mugler making her look as high fashion as possible, this is definitely an issue to buy and keep. Enjoy x

FIERCE!!!

Zoe and Morgan's AW11 Collection

Last night I went to the uber trendy and stylish Dean Street Town House Hotel, to attend the AW11 launch (and sample sale) of ultra cool and rock and roll jewellery range Zoe and Morgan. Upon entering the hotel, we were directed to a bedroom on the first floor, which was packed with fashion folk and friends and family of the jewellery designers.
If you're unfamiliar with the range, Zoe and Morgan was officially launched in 2006, and their pieces have featured in Vogue, Elle, pop and InStyle to name but a few!! They are the jewellery brand of choice for fashion editors and word of mouth has caused a flurry of interest amongst the fashionable celebs out there, fans including; Garance Dore, Alexa Chung, Lilly Donaldson, Emma Watson and Kate Moss to name but a few.
The jewellery ranges from rings and earrings to necklaces and bracelets, and it took all of my strength to not forgo a months mortgage to buy the whole lot!! Skulls are blended with flowers, snakes hold turquoise marbles in their mouths, gold plated eternity snake bangles, rings with tiny stars, each containing a single sapphire, slender chains come adorned with the sweetest pendants - tiny fox cubs, little bear faces, rabbits popping out of hats, anchors, "love" and "magic," fox door knockers and, in their AW11 collection, incredible scarab beetles. There's even a collection for the men folk, so you can look equally cool and rock and roll!
I've put a few of my fave pieces below, and make sure you check the website to have a gander. Prices range from anything from £60-£2,000!

Olivia Palermo Graces the Cover of Elle Mexico April 2011

OK, I am not normally the gushing type over celebs, but when I saw the front cover of Elle Mexico for April, I had to have a little gushing moment. Love her, hate her star of the City, former PR bitch, "Fashion Editor", designer and soon to be star of her own show Olivia Palermo looks drop dead stunning on the cover and in the editorial. Although not a model, this girl obviously studies fashion mags with a passion, as she poses like a seasoned high fashion model. Wearing couture and fabulous dresses from designers such as Ellie Saab, Salvatore Ferragamo, D&G and Emilo Pucci (lucky cow), Miss Palermo looks from top to toe the epitome of high fashion royalty. You may come across as a bit of an odd ball on TV Miss Palermo, but you look fierce in this editorial! Enjoy x

Cher Lloyd's New Look!

Wow...and I mean wow!! For those with a terrible memory, Cher Lloyd was the little chavvy MC contestant on the X Factor, who always stomped around with stangely drawn on eyebrows, greased back hair, gold hoop earrings and tracksuits...not so glam. Well, I can say now is, Cher's gotta brand new bag!

Miss Lloyd showcased her fab new look in cutting edge mag Wonderland. Gone were the eyebrows, hair, earrings, streaky fake tan and all round chav-ness, and in their place, beautiful porcelain skin, fire engine red lips and hair and a high fashion wardrobe.

Please keep this look up Cher!! You look amazing!! Enjoy x

Fearne Cotton's Makeup Range Makes a Return for Spring!

It's always exciting when a new make up range is launched, and even more so if it has a hot celeb fronting it! TV and radio presenter, style guru, fashionista and all round cool chick Fearne Cotton has just launched the second edition of her make up range "Fearne" (original no?) The first launch was at Christmas, which proved so popular, that a new edition each season was called for.

I was sent a selection of pieces from the new collection to review, and I have to say, I was very impressed. Super cute and girly packaging with quotes and sweet designs and fun and quirky colourways for face, eyes, lips and nails. I was sent two gorgeous nail polishes - a super bright coral (which I am wearing as I type) and a beautiful lilac (my new favourite colour), a chunky silver/blue eyeliner, a well put together eyeshadow palette, a lip set containing a lip pencil, lip gloss and lipstick, all in plummy pink shades and finally an eye shimmer.

The nail varnishes (£5.50) are fab - really bright, summery and fun - just want you want for a spring time manicure fix. the brushes glide onto the nails very easily and just a couple of coats suffice. I managed to keep my nails looking perfect for about three days before they started chipping, which isn't bad considering I was prepping for a photoshoot and doing a lot of packing and unpacking, so if you're careful, they would probably last a bit longer!

The eyeliner (£5) was my least favourite product, but that's more because I'm not a fan of silvery eye products (I prefer richer, earthier tones). It glided on well, but creased up as the day went on. However, I was able to apply my liquid eyeliner over the top, so that was a plus. I think I would use this again, but I would opt for a one of the other shades.

The eyeshadow palette (£12) is gorgeous. Loads of colour options which blend really well together and no shortage of combinations - and the palette comes complete with a mirror, and is really slim, so perfect for slipping into your handbag for a night out, or taking it away with you on holiday as a space saver.

The lip set (£10) is also a great little product, a small lip pencil lets you define your lips, a matching lipstick lets you fill them in and the gloss gives them a great shine. The colour I was sent wasn't my favourite - there is a darker plum shade which is more me - but this makes a great present.

Finally, the eye shimmer (£5) is a little pot of shimmer, which is perfect for applying on your eyes alone or over an eyeshadow to make it a bit more special. I have also dusted it onto my cheekbones to highlight them slightly. Of course, this works better if you have a more natural colour shimmer!

Over all, I was really impressed with Fearne's range. It's fun, colourful and has really reasonable price points, ranging from £5 - £12. The range has just launched in Boots, so why not nip out to your local store and grab yourself a little of Fearne's quirky beauty. Enjoy x
