I Heart Marks and Sparks!

I have been a fan of Marks and Spencer's Limited Collection for a while now. Each season they seem to present an amazing collection of fashion forward pieces, supported of course by the now famous M&S adverts - who doesn't love seeing Twiggy, Danni and VV prancing around in the latest collections?

This season, Marks and Sparks have once again delivered. They have focused on three of the best trends that SS11 has to offer - festival chic, seventies deluxe and super feminine. On the website they have created fab campaigns to illustrate all three of these looks, showcasing the individual products and showing you how to look less high street and more high fashion.

Palazzo pants with vibrant prints, chiffon blouses, bug eyed sunnies, fringed bags, leopard print harem pants, fluffy vintage style cardigans...the wish list goes on and on!!

I've put some of my fave pieces below, but snap them up quick, because they ain't going to last forever!

Enjoy! x

New High End Ethical Magazine SIX Launches!

I'm very excited, as today, new high fashion, ethical magazine SIX has launched its debut issue! SIX describe themselves as:

We stand for slow fashion, respect for clothes and those who created them, and the return to individuality.

SIX magazine heralds the way all fashion should be.

It represents the sixth sense we all have: style and value."

There are loads of amazing articles, shoots and features in this debut issue, including a global guide to sustainable and ethical fashion, fab shopping pages, organic make up and beauty and the top ethical designers, so make sure you check it out! http://six-magazine.co.uk/magazine/

Elizabeth Taylor - Hollywood Legend and Fashion Icon Passes Away

Today, the world lost one of its most iconic leading ladies. Legendary Hollywood actress Elizabeth Taylor passed away today in hospital surrounded by loved ones, according to her publicist.

She captured the hearts of her viewers from her early days in movies such as National Velvet days, to her leading lady roles in Cleopatra and Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, through her White Diamonds campaigns and finally her many appearances on red carpets over the years (not to mention an appearance on The Simpsons!)

This woman has been loved by many, not just Richard Burton and the late great King of Pop Michael Jackson. Her classic beauty, teeny tiny waist and heartbreaking expressions which graced the silver screen, will never be forgotten. So it is with great sadness that we say goodbye to another Hollywood great. Rest in Peace Elizabeth Taylor 27th Feb 1932 - 23rd March 2011

Alberta Ferretti and Emma Watson's Pure Threads is Now Available to Buy Online!

Exciting news for fashion lovers and eco warriors alike - fashion's new ecological dynamic duo Alberta Ferretti and Emma Watson have joined forces to create new gorgeous collection; Pure Threads.

The collection is now available online to buy exclusively at www.albertaferretti.com. There are five pieces available; two dresses, a shirt, one skirt and a cute pair of denim shorts, enriched with feminine lace embroideries - all beautifully feminine and typical of Ferretti's whimsical, feminine designs.

A portion of proceeds from each sale will be donated to the People Tree Foundation, an organization gorgeous Miss Granger...sorry...Watson, has supported for some years now.

This really is a gorgeous collection and is the perfect capsule for a beautiful summer wardrobe - each piece looks fab and stands out by itself, but they can be easily mixed and matched with the season's current trends. We love!

So, why not have a gander and look gorgeous and do some good. We love!

Belle is Back!

Well hello!

Sorry I have been out of touch for three weeks - if you are a regular reader of Belle of the Ball then you would know that I have been off getting hitched and have just returned from an amazing honeymoon in Sri Lanka! What an amazing country, full of colour, spice, wildlife, beauty and the nicest people. My wedding day was pure magic - a real fairy tale and the honeymoon was perfect.

I have only just gotten home so the jet lag is alive and kicking, but I just wanted to drop a line to say I am back, and the fashion blogging will resume shortly!

Thanks to all my readers and happy (ish!) to be back and blogging!

Love,

Belle of the Ball x
